About Sangam Didsbury
Sangam Didsbury is an Indian restaurant on Wilmslow Rd in Manchester, with a menu that gives lamb a prominent place through Palak Gosht, lamb in spinach, and lamb karahi. Dessert includes a jalebi ice cream sandwich. A bar with a barman serves cocktails, and guests can bring their own wine, an option exclusive to this Didsbury restaurant. For groups, a private dining room caters for 100 people and comes with a stage and screen, which suits larger gatherings and celebrations. The interior is a feature of the restaurant in its own right. Masala tea and other hot drinks are offered after the meal.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints are more mixed. One diner found the spice overpowered the pork chops, sea bass and tikka chicken, and described the male waiters as pushy. Another said the biryani tasted of nothing, though the curry sauce beside it was better. A third reviewer found the restaurant cold at opening, and disputed the jalebi ice cream sandwich, which was one jalebi on a scoop of ice cream. The server insisted it was a sandwich before agreeing to add a second jalebi, and the table asked for the discretionary service charge to be removed.

“I had an amazing experience at this restaurant from the moment I walked in. Food, service and atmosphere were outstanding. The food was fresh, flavourful, clearly made with love and care. Each dish was presented so beautifully that when I tried the food it lived up to how beautiful it looked. The service is phenomenal with friendly, efficient and polite staff. I highly recommend this restaurant and it is now my favourite Indian restaurant.”

“Nice looking place and had a decent buzz when we visited on a Friday night. We had a mixture of pork chops, sea bass and tikka chicken and all of us felt that the spice flavours well and truely overtook the meats. I we shut our eyes, we almost couldnt tell what meat we were eating, which was disappointing for the price. The service was ok but the male waiters seemed very pushy and not warm in the slightest. Wasn’t the worst experience by a long shot, but wouldn’t choose there again.”
