Quick info
About Cup & Crumb
Cup & Crumb is a coffee shop on Greenleach Ln in Manchester, serving eggs Benedict, a matcha latte, and a turkey club sandwich alongside cakes, tarts, and brownies. A separate ice cream and milkshake hut sits alongside the coffee shop, giving visitors a second option beyond the main counter. Seating is available both indoors and outdoors, with cocktails and other alcohol served for drinking outside. The entrance is step-free and wheelchair-accessible, and dogs are welcome throughout. Food and drink can be eaten in or taken away. There is no table service or booking; orders are taken on a walk-in basis, and it opens daily. The venue draws steady crowds, so a wait for food is common even when seating remains available.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the coffee and cakes, with the tea, tarts and brownies also mentioned, and several call it a lovely local cafe. Close behind are the sandwiches and toasties, where a beef, cheese and onion toaster and a turkey club get praise, along with cocktails one reviewer says rival those in town. One describes a tacos night as outstanding, and another welcomes the new ice cream and milkshake hut. Friendly staff come up repeatedly, though several also describe them as overwhelmed at busy times, and one reviewer wants a clearer ordering system because it is hard to tell who has ordered or is waiting for takeaway. Slow food is the main complaint. One reviewer waited a long time to have a pasty warmed even when the cafe was empty, and another says takeaway sandwiches were served first. Others report a chicken tikka toastie that arrived burned and greasy, an avocado bagel and matcha latte called bland and watery, and eggs Benedict that tasted of vinegar. That diner says the waitress took the plate back with no apology or refund offer.

“Been here a few times for coffee. Easy walk past and I decided to drop in for a cocktail. I can honestly say the cocktails rival most of the ones you'll drink in town and for a fraction of the price, proper Hidden jam and a little village. Worth a few steps if you need to walk here because the staff are friendly and welcoming. We'll talk you through the menu. Just an absolute dream and delight”

“Lovely little cafe, food was lovely, cakes as well. Good pricing as well Staff look overwhelmed or not bothered in busy times. Need a better system when it comes to ordering, can't tell who's ordered, who's waiting for take out or if your meant to wait for your food? Definitely would go back”

“Went here yesterday, looked lovely, great atmosphere and was really looking forward to it. I ordered eggs Benedict for myself and friend and waffles for my son. Took a long time - which I don’t normally mind as it’s a small business and appreciate fresh cooking. Unfortunately my food was awful. It tasted of vinegar - not sure if they had poached the eggs in vinegar? But the bread, everything was just soaked in it. The eggs were also hard. I couldn’t eat it. I gave it back to a waitress who asked if I wanted them to make it again. I said it had put me off. She took it away, no apology, no offer to refund it, nothing. I thought this was really bad service considering we’d paid almost £40 pounds on breakfast. It’s a real shame, don’t plan on returning any time soon”

“Great local cafe that already did really good coffee and fresh cakes but has now added an ice cream and milkshake hut, love it!”

“A very long wait for food, even when empty. Today 25 minutes to warm a pasty. Given people were coming in, ordering sandwiches to go, and having these delivered first I presume this is an organisation issue. Edit: response to the reply. You do serve pasties, it was a cheese and potato puff pasty. And an apology is when you say "sorry", which was not present in your reply - something to think about next time you reply to a long-time customer.”
