Customer Review Summary
Coffee is the main draw, with reviewers praising a flat white and an oat latte one called among the best they had had, while another says a regular order has never tasted better. Close behind is a friendly, welcoming team that keeps a packed queue moving, and one mentions the bright, airy upstairs seating and a good selection of cakes and gluten-free options. Service draws the complaints. One longtime regular says some servers greet other customers warmly but huff when asked for a takeaway cup. Another got an instant no from a male staff member when asking for the toilet codes, and a third objects to large parts of the cafe being shut off and a rude cleaner. A caramel latte had no caramel taste, and seats near plug sockets were hard to find. One order arrived as an oat chocolate and cold chocolate instead of an oat latte and cold mocha, and the latte was remade after the mix-up.

“They keep shutting off large parts of the cafe and the cleaner is rude. Can’t be bothered going there any longer after being a customer since Costa came to Salford.”

“I've been to the Costa on Market Place a few times and always had a good experience. The staff are usually friendly and welcoming, and they make a cracking flat white . The upstairs seating area is a real bonus – it's bright and airy with nice views over the town, and there's plenty of space to sit and chat or even get some work done . The service can be a bit slow when it's busy, but that's true of any coffee shop . The team are always polite and doing their best, and the place is generally clean and tidy . They've also got a good selection of cakes and gluten-free options, which is handy . If you're after a reliable coffee in a comfortable spot, this is a solid choice.”
