Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the food, with the Big breakfast of poached eggs, sausage and bacon on thick toast drawing the most detail, alongside Biscoff pancakes, nachos, a club sandwich and a hot honey chicken burger with hot honey cheese sauce. Several describe friendly, smiling staff and a welcoming space, and one mentions the cakes on display. Complaints are more mixed. One reviewer waited a long stretch with no coffee, then learned pancakes and avocado were unavailable despite being listed. Another found the poached eggs tasted strongly of vinegar and the plate sat uncleared. A dairy-intolerant diner received a meal with butter after asking for none, and the staff apologised and did not charge for it. Two others call the prices steep, citing takeaway bacon on toast and bacon and egg on toast, and a charge to add a fried egg. Even so, the dairy mix-up ended with an apology and a waived bill.

“My daughter wanted us to have Brunch on her birthday and she wanted pancakes. The Google maps info listed pancakes on the menu. We were seated and had our order taken quickly but told they no longer serve pancakes. Server was pleasant and my daughter chose something with avocado, instead of the pancakes she had wanted but she wasn't too fazed. We then sat for 45 minutes with not so much as a coffee before a server came over and said they were out of avocado. So Birthday girl was now down to 3rd choice. We got coffee 5 or 10 minutes later and food came 10 minutes after that. I only had cheese on toast so cannot really comment on food quality (pretty hard to mess up). The atmosphere and decor are pleasant enough and it was fairly busy but seemed to be a lot of people happy to chat with friends and have nothing in front of them. The place has a lot of potential and our experience seems to be unusual, given the high star rating on Google. I'd say I wouldn't go back but maybe curiosity will tempt me to see if our experience was a freak incident? Oh, if you're a coffee nut...it's nothing to write home about just "mid" as my daughter put it. I hope this criticism can be helpful. I don't want to damage a local small business but wow, an unfortunate experience, especially when I had chosen the venue. I felt like a right numpty afterwards.”

“Can't believe this place has the gall to charge £14 for a bacon on toast and bacon and egg on toast to TAKE AWAY! What is it Michelin Star?? Certainly won't be going there again. Me and my work colleague work all over Manchester and have a treat once a week. Never paid this price anywhere! £ 2.00 to add a fried egg! £6.00 bacon on toast, £8.00 bacon & egg on toast. Ridiculous!!”

“First and last time I will be trying this cafe. Staff are not friendly, not one has a smile. Felt awkward from walking in. Stood at the 'wait to be seated' sign, all the staff near the till, but not one came over until someone said there is someone waiting. Ordered a tea and poached eggs on toast. The cup for the tea was dirty and had to ask for a replacement. When the food eventually arrived, the eggs tasted strongly of vinegar. I had the toast, which was nice and left the eggs. Sat for 15mins with the eggs just left on the plate, not one server came to clear the plate or ask if everything was ok. £5 was expensive to only have one slice of toast the was edible.”
