Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the duck, called crispy and flavourful, with the crispy chilli beef close behind, one diner saying they came specifically for it and finished with a takeaway box. Also praised are the king prawn starter, prawn toast, dim sum, Singapore noodles, slow cooked beef and egg fried rice, along with big portions and staff described as friendly and attentive. One reviewer enjoyed a two course lunch with wine and beer, and another liked the Thai-style coconut chicken. The criticism is sharper but less common. One diner called the food average and the staff unfriendly, with no greetings and a crowded, loud room. Another said the order was mixed up and a different dish arrived, and that the server was rude. A third found the dim sum very good but the fried beef noodle bad, with the wrong type of noodles and an off taste. One reviewer happily left the added service charge on the bill.

“We came for a weekend away to Manchester and didn’t want to spend too much on food, decided to go here and omg the food was amazing, very big portions, lovely staff, very nice atmosphere and the price at the end with a starter, 3 drinks, and two massive meat plates with noodles came to £80 including service charge of £7 which we kept on. Will definitely come back 🤗”

“Great traditional old school Chinese, we had a great lunch - we chose two starters (prawn toast and dim sum) both of which were a small supplement on the two course fixed menu, then Singapore noodles (delicious) and a portion of the slow cooked beef with fried rice. All excellent and with great service. With two glasses of wine and two Tsingtao beers the two course lunch for two with 10% service (added on the bill) came to £79. Nice background music, not really noticeable but adding to the ambiance.”

“We came in here and had a feast! Staff were very attentive throughout. The dishes were all beautiful and varied in flavour. We tried loads of stuff like duck, spring rolls, prawn toast, crispy chilli beef, Chilli prawns, slow cooked beef, sizzling lamb, chicken dish of some sort and all the sides. Wow. Would highly recommend and will be back!”

“Well balanced flavours. We had king prowns in a light batter for starter and delicious duck for main. Noodles and rice were excellent. 10 out of 10.👍👍”

“The dim sum was very good. But the fried beef noodle was really bad. The noodles was the wrong type. And the taste was totally off!”
