About Nibble
Nibble is an independent, female-run brunch and cake cafe at 36 Oldham St in Manchester. The menu lists nine dishes and changes seasonally, and most of the main food menu can be made gluten free. Vegan choices include the Sweet Potato Breakfast Hash and a hot chocolate, and the Triple Chocolate Brownies are gluten free. The kitchen works in view of customers, and the small inside space holds about four tables. Nibble also runs an online shop for cake boxes, brunch hampers and afternoon teas, ordered for yourself or as gifts and sent with UK delivery. The same shop sells female-empowering merch, including tea towels, tote bags and cards. The Ultimate breakfast bagel is built on house-made bagels.

Customer Review Summary
Brownies draw the most praise, with reviewers calling them to die for and naming the cherry brownies, the beetroot fudge and the salted caramel espresso versions, plus a brownie milkshake. Close behind is brunch, led by the house made ultimate breakfast bagel, along with the Tiramisu French Toast, fried breakfast potatoes, matcha and chai latte. Reviewers also single out friendly staff, a small, cosy room with only a few tables inside, more seating outside under a covering, and a menu that changes seasonally. Gluten free and vegan options come up repeatedly, and one reviewer with coeliac disease describes knowledgeable staff explaining how ingredients and equipment are handled. One visitor had a very different experience: a long wait just to have the order taken, chai lattes that arrived almost cold, and pancakes that were cold, small and chewy with a watery berry compote, and no apology until a complaint was made. Others finish by grabbing a few brownies to take home for the kids.

“Not an entirely gluten free facility but extremely knowledgable staff with all the precautions you could hope for from a small cafe. Safe for celiacs! Got a drink here, a brownie milkshake, and was told there was no risk of cross contamination due to how they handle the ingredients and equipment. Range of items to eat, and most of the main food menu could be made GF. Also super cute and good vibes! Worth a look.”

“Went for brunch last week and OMG! the ultimate breakfast bagel was exactly that. Delicious and so filling! Grabbed a few brownies to take home for the kids too, and the beetroot fudge and salted caramel espresso brownies were chef's kiss. Wish I lived in Manchester so I could pop in more often!”

“Really impressed with Nibble, it was my first time and won’t be my last. All the ladies that work there are so friendly and lovely. There is some small seating options inside, it’s very cosy but there’s more seating outside with a bit of a covering over. They have lots of vegan options, including a delicious hot chocolate with all the trimmings so happy and loved it! Also got a brownie to go which was to die for, will definitely come back and try more things!”

“Really disappointed with our visit to Nibble. We were excited as they offer dairy-free and gluten-free options, but the experience didn’t live up to expectations. We waited over an hour just to have our order taken (even after asking multiple times), then another 30+ minutes for drinks—two of the chai lattes arrived almost cold. Food took another 25 mins after drinks, and the pancakes were cold, small, and chewy, with very poor presentation. The berry compote was watery with only a few small red currents as the “berrys”and the cream tasted like melted ice cream slopped on the side. The tables were dirty, seating wasn’t great, and there are no toilets on site (nearest is about a 10-minute walk). No apology from staff at any point until the end after we made a complaint. Such a shame as it looks so lovely online, but overall a really disappointing experience.”
