About Chai Latte
On Stevenson Square in Manchester, Chai Latte is a cafe serving Mediterranean food, halal meats and a full English breakfast throughout the day. The full English is halal, made with turkey rashers and chicken sausages, and comes with the option to upgrade to desi egg and desi beans. Diners can also build their own breakfast by choosing from a list of items, or order halloumi eggs with hollandaise sauce or French toast with scrambled eggs. Desi tea is served in a shared teapot alongside the chai latte. Ordering is done at the till or by scanning a QR code at the table to pay online. The cafe opens daily, and reservations are recommended. The entrance is step-free for visitors with mobility needs, and high chairs are available for families with young children. Outdoor seating gives an option for eating outside, and dogs are welcome throughout.

Customer Review Summary
The full English breakfast is the clear draw here, with reviewers repeatedly praising its generous portions and halal preparation, though several note it runs pricey for what's offered, with one diner singling out a £8.50 plate and another questioning why only one egg comes standard. Close behind, the desi tea and eggs halloumi with hollandaise draw specific praise, alongside the hot and spicy chicken burger and French toast. Staff warmth comes up again and again, described as welcoming and accommodating even for families with strollers and young children. The recurring friction is service pacing and consistency: one reviewer waited around 20 minutes to order in an empty café, another found their iced Vietnamese coffee watery with no condensed milk and says the barista responded without an apology, and a separate visit describes peeling leather chairs, lukewarm drinks, and an underwhelming full English. Outdoor seating is called spectacular by one visitor despite that same rocky service experience. One longtime customer says they've returned for over ten years, calling the quality and portion sizes unchanged throughout.

“We sat outside as a group on a sunny day, I ordered an iced tea, my friends ordered a double espresso and an iced Vietnamese coffee, unfortunately the espresso was very watery and the barista tried to justify it, and the iced Vietnamese coffee was extremely watery with no condensed milk, after politely asking the barista, she looked angry/upset with no friendly tone, didn’t even apologise. It may have been their first days but the service was poor, the seats outside were spectacular however”

“Got a nice breakfast (breakfast barm and a hot latte) for under £10, super friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The portion sizes did not disappoint either 🫶”

“I’ve come here for over 10 years. No matter what new fancy looking places open in mcr, this is the best breakfast around. Massive portions with the best prices around. Quality has never changed throughout the years nor has the kindness of the staff. Will always be a regular. Had my friend from Dubai hooked and has moved back and misses chai lattte still 🤣”
