Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the friendly staff and locals, and several call it a great pub for sport, citing loads of screens, football and a darts team. A cracking pint comes up too, including a recommended stout, while one reviewer mentions a Sunday carvery and another a DJ on a Saturday evening. Fair prices are noted, and one diner found the burger tasty and served quickly. The main complaint is food. Several say it can't be counted on, especially before the cricket, and when it is on, half the menu is unavailable. Drinks draw criticism as well. One reviewer says the Holt Bitter was taken off once the pub got busy, leaving lager only, and warns of short measures and large heads on pints, though staff topped up when asked. Another was given plastic glasses and bad beer during a cricket break while regulars at the bar drank from proper glasses.

“We came in during the break in play during the Women’s T20 World Cup and were given plastic glasses and bad beer whilst regulars sat at the bar drinking with actual glasses. It was really quiet and we sat inside so no need to give us plastic. Weird. Would not return”

“Absolutely liars about their opening time, they shut 1:30 before they say. They don’t do food, so lucky to get a one star there. Appalling pub,”

“I would like to thank the lovely individual who served me today. My friend ordered two drinks and I was outside at this moment… as I walked into the pub and stood with him I was approached by the women who then asked me what my order was. I replied with sorry I didn’t order let me ask him. To then be abused by this Women. Wish I took her name. But in all honesty I was just shocked that she abused us. again lovely service. If the pub would like me to describe the individual-please reply and I will happily phone. (Google would not let me type what she said so again I’d be happy enough to speak on the phone)”

“I stopped by on a Saturday evening and I saw that they have a DJ on (Taxi Wayne) playing some nice tunes. It's a pretty good pub. Good service”
