  “Nice place to come for a drink in Chorlton. Nice cocktails on happy hour until 9pm daily along with other drinks. Open late. Nice pint and friendly staff. Have also been here for a private event which was well managed… can’t go wrong 👍”

  “Went here after a wake with others but same old thing a bit boring to honest. Not really my thing but other people's seemed to be enjoying it. The music was good but a bit dead to considering it was late. Staff was ok as well.”

  “Used to be a great late night pub but the manager, Chris, has absolutely ruined the spot. A huge amount of people have been banned for no reason as you can tell by other reviews. The bouncers even think he’s ridiculous. There’s a Reddit post about him with over 100 comments all saying the same thing. It’s a great place to drink but the manager completely ruins it. Chris give your head a wobble, quit your job and hopefully a good reasonable manager replaces you.”

  “We held my mum’s 70th birthday party at Dulcimer and it was great. Chris was really accommodating and the staff were lovely. We had the upstairs space for casual drinks and a DIY buffet for about 40 people, and it worked perfectly. Everyone had a brilliant time, and once things started to wind down, the usual Saturday night crowd came in while our stragglers stayed for a late-night drink.”

  “The pineapple cider is truly excellent, enjoyed directly after work on a Thursday evening. Very nice place ...it's a pity I don't drink as much as I used to adsthis place is perfect. Lovely staff and nice atmosphere (vibe).”

  “Lovely bar staff who work hard and pull good and reasonably priced pints for South Manchester but, as everyone else on here has recently mentioned, the manager in charge is an unbelievably rude, horrid bloke who seems to hate customers who he is not best friends with. It remains a good spot in a great town so my prediction is it will go back to being a great bar once he is removed and someone else takes over. Guinness is decent for England in 2025!”

  “Long-standing Chorlton pub and live music venue. Good selection of world and British beers in keg, cask and bottle. Happy hour prices in the week which I think are deliberately 10p cheat a pint than the pub next door. Not exactly glamorous but the decor is pretty interesting. Known for folk music and there is always lots going on in terms of live music and comedy in the upstairs bar.”

  “First visit to Dulcimer for several years. Popped in with Martin Meerkat on our way to San Juan for their excellent tappas. Had my first pint of real ale in almost a month. A locslal brewery in Manchester, Steelfish ( Stretford) a 3.8% Extra Pale Ale called TIA. Lovely refreshing pint in excellent condition. ( They also had a Thornbridge Made North on tap.) Beer range constantly changing. Also a real cider on tap. We are there on a very quiet Sunday teatime and have the place to ourselves. Very chilled. There is more seating upstairs. There is a disabled toilet on the groundfloor otherwise a trek up two floors. Think there is also a beer garden.”
