Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return mainly for the craft beer and real ale, naming pale ales and sours such as Verdant's Penpol pale, a Red Willow raspberry sour, Squawk's Mallard pale ale and a Big Trip New England IPA called Are You Dancing. Food comes close behind, described as brilliant and delicious, with one reviewer singling out a chermoula chicken wrap with wedges. Several praise the friendly, welcoming staff and the bar team, and the venue earns credit for cosy sofas, a relaxed vibe, a dog friendly welcome and a front patio. One group who worked through most of the cocktail list found the ambience chilled. The main complaint comes from a returning fan of the earlier branch, who found the cocktails had gone generic and cost more, could only get two for one on identical drinks during happy hour, and said the Garden Party was a thin slice of cucumber in a pale green liquid. Another reviewer notes that even when the bar was busy, everything came out quickly.
