Customer Review Summary

Drinks are the main draw, with reviewers singling out a strawberry daiquiri, a negroni and a G&T, and describing cocktails that arrive with flair and, in one account, are breathtaking. One reviewer felt the taste did not quite match the presentation. Close behind is the staff, described repeatedly as friendly, with servers and hosts praised for making a graduation lunch feel special and for taking every order with a smile. Food draws more mixed responses. The fish and chips are called light, crispy and surprisingly delicious, and other diners found the food good and well presented. A less happy reviewer found the pork doughnuts lacked flavour apart from the pork, the chicken nothing special, and the big basket disappointing, with a few frozen chips, some coleslaw and a handful of chicken strips. Outside seating with a DJ suits warm evenings, though one table could hear a loud live band from the neighbouring Oast House. Several describe a lovely atmosphere, and one praises a server who came round at the exact moment the table needed more drinks.

“We spent a lovely few hours here yesterday (Saturday afternoon). Biggest thanks go to Adam and Baz for their amazing hospitality, banter and photo taking skills! 👌👌 We will definitely be back”
  • John B (JB)
“We came here for a cocktail after having dinner nearby. It was a really warm night so we sat outside which was really nice and chilled with a DJ playing music. Only thing was there was a live band on at the Oast house which was that loud we could hear that as well. I had a negroni which was really nice and my wife had a G&T will definitely come back.”

“The staff were really nice and friendly, which made for a welcoming experience. The food was okay, but nothing I had really stood out. The pork doughnuts lacked flavour apart from the pork itself, and the chicken wasn't anything special either. The "big basket" was a bit disappointing for the price, with just a few frozen chips, some coleslaw, and a handful of chicken strips.”
