About Bar Fringe
Bar Fringe is a Belgian beer bar in Manchester, at 8 Swan St. The Belgian list covers Trappist and Lambic selections, along with Delirium and a Delirium cherry beer, and the Belgian beers arrive in authentic glassware. Bavarian and German beers sit alongside them. UK cask ales are on draft next to lager, and the ciders include vintage and flat ones. Belgian brewerania covers the walls, including a pink elephant. A jukebox plays music from the 60s, 70s and early 80s.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the Belgian beer range, with Trappist ales, fruity lambics and Delirium cherry beer named repeatedly, poured in authentic glassware. Close behind is the jukebox, with several praising its music from the 60s, 70s and early 80s. The cask ales, including a rotating handful on draft, and the vintage and flat ciders also draw mentions, along with Bavarian and German lagers. Several describe a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with people from all walks of life, and one points to the Belgian brewerania on the walls, including the famous pink elephant. A beer garden at the rear gets a nod for sunny days. The main criticisms are small. One reviewer could not tell whether the bartender was happy to be there, and the same person found the toilet not the best, though not the worst in Manchester. Regulars who have visited over the years contrast it with soulless chain pubs, and one says they have come back for flat ciders, finding four on offer on their latest visit.

“Great variety of ales, cider and lager etc etc. One of the best juke box music in town.. I suppose we were lucky to have been immersed in music from the 60s, 70s and very early 80s. Staff, well couldn't tell if he was happy to be there or not. Or happy anyone was there 🫣...Toilet not the best but there are a lot worse in Manchester.”
