Customer Review Summary
Diners single out the full English breakfast and the roast beef as standout dishes, with several praising generous portions, excellent taste, and good value, while the fish and chips on Tuesdays also earns repeated mention. The steak with chunky chips, onion rings, and mushroom sauce is highlighted as particularly well-prepared, and the nut roast is called the best one reviewer has had. Service is frequently described as friendly and attentive, with staff noted for their welcoming approach. A recurring caveat is that food quality does not always match the price for some, with one reviewer calling the gluten-free menu small and another finding the meal only average. Several also note long queues for drinks during busy periods, with limited staff contributing to delays. One diner reports needing to request and pay extra for a Yorkshire pudding with the vegetarian option.

“Feel like The Pot’s food has really improved this year. We went for weekend breakfast (open from 9 Sat & Sun) and our full English’s were excellent and good value. We also occasionally go in midweek on the way home from work. The weekly specials are varied and the fish and chips offer on Tuesdays is cracking - good food, large portions. Nice to see a local boozer on form.”

“Great for drinks and location staff were friendly enough but food is average. Spent over £80 for food and I wouldn’t say it was worth half that price. Not horrible but not great. Price should reflect quality of food. Don’t mind spending a lot for lunch if it’s worth it. Gluten free menu was small and couldn’t have chips as one of us needed a gluten free meal. Rest of the food was just ok. I always say food is personal choice so give it a try but I will only go for drinks now. Dog friendly as well which is good.”

- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
