About Church House Sutton
Church House Sutton is a pub in Macclesfield at 23 Church Ln, and its car park takes campervans and caravans overnight at no charge on a first come, first served basis. Campers get access to 24-hour toilets and a fresh water tap, which makes the pub a practical stop for anyone travelling in a motorhome. The bar pours cask ales and other real ales. The kitchen cooks traditional pub food from scratch, with steak and ale pie among the dishes and a vegan option on the menu. Dogs are welcome, and the pub keeps dog treats for them. The pub sits in Sutton Village, near Macclesfield Forest, and its beer garden at the rear backs onto a large field.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the food, and the Sunday roast and the steak and ale pie are the dishes they name, with one also mentioning a vegan option and another a Christmas spread of traditional dishes and tapas. Close behind is the welcome, with the landlord and landlady described as friendly, hardworking and unfazed when the place was rushed off its feet. Regulars and first-time visitors alike describe a warm, lively, proper country pub atmosphere. Real ales and a solid beer selection get a mention, as does the beer garden, where one reviewer plans to return for the summer bands, and another notes dog treats. Several campervan and caravan visitors describe staying overnight in the car park after phoning ahead, with a fresh water tap and toilets available around the clock. One reviewer says a table needs booking in advance because the pub was packed on a Thursday evening. No reviewer raises a complaint. Several call the meals reasonably priced, including a Sunday lunch group deal served with big smiles.

“This place is an absolute 5* I visited with friends to watch the England 🏴 game not being local to the area I was visiting a friend who'd recently moved to Macclesfield. This pub is amazing, nice and out of town with a good country pub vibe. I didn't catch their names but the landlord and landlady were amazing soo friendly and welcoming; nothing was too much trouble for either of them. The food was absolutely stunning and the service to go with it was outstanding. A lot of pubs could learn from these 2 on how to run a pub 🍻🥰 will definitely be back when visiting my friend again. Thank you!!!”

“We have been a few times and brought some of my family today. Absolutely lovely food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Such an enjoyable place to visit, I would say true hospitality 😊”

“This pub is amazing. A park-up app said they allowed overnight stays, so I rang in advance to see if I could stay in my caravan for a couple nights over a bank holiday weekend, which was fine in return for a meal or drinks. Food was outstanding. Lovely atmosphere. Was pretty obvious I wasn't a local, but felt a great love and warmth from all staff and regulars. Looking forward to sticking my head in again.”
