Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the crispy Vietnamese pancake, with several praising its dipping sauce and one saying it matched pancakes eaten in Vietnam. Close behind are the Bún Bò Huế, with a spicy, flavourful broth and tender beef, and the prawn summer rolls. Others name the vegan pho, prawn curry, mushroom in batter and hot and sour fishcake soup, calling the ingredients fresh. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and lovely, with servers sharing travel recommendations for Vietnam. Criticism is narrower. One reviewer was twice turned away shortly before closing with a blunt reply that the place was closed, was served only after asking for just a coffee, and found it made with instant coffee, mostly ice and unmixed. Another found the pork belly bánh mì light on pork belly, and one found prices a little higher than comparable places. One diner's tea was topped up for free, and the owner gave another a chopstick lesson.

“Takes me back to the streets of Hanoi unlike any other Vietnamese restaurant I’ve visited since then! We ordered the crispy pancake, vegan pho and prawn curry. All of it was delicious but the crispy pancake in particular was fantastic - I could just drink the sauce it came with directly from the bowl. If you have someone you love in your life, bring them here. You’ll probably see me because I might have to visit every day from now on. Our waiter Andy was also really friendly and offered some great travel recommendations in Vietnam. I’ve been convinced to go back.”

“Had such a great time here! The Vietnamese pancakes reminded me exactly of the ones I had in Vietnam and the sauce accompanying it was the cherry on top. It was definitely worth the wait. The staff were friendly - got to chat with Andi and received recommendations for a trip to Vietnam. Overall, a great place to enjoy some really great food and staff. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much for your kindness and service.”

“So disappointing. Came at 9.50pm a few days ago for a Vietnamese coffee, supposedly closes at 10pm but was dismissed by staff and not served, a very blunt ‘we’re closed’ and then they walked off. I returned today at 9.45pm, to try my luck and got the same response. I then said ‘I just want a coffee’, and was served. The coffee cost £5, it was served in the tiniest cup, with the flimsiest straw, most of the cup was ice and the drink was not mixed (Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk should be mixed because it’s impossible for thick condensed milk to come up a straw). Additionally, they just used instant coffee and so it ultimately just tasted very bitter and cheap. Super disappointed by the staffs dismissive attitude, the lack of care in preparing the drink, the value for money for such a tiny and unpleasant drink and overall vibe of this place.”

“This is our favourite local restaurant!! The food is always excellent. The pancake is #1, also prawn summer rolls 👌👌 Nice vibe & great staff.”

“I had the pork belly bánh mì really tasty and full of flavour, but it did feel a little light on the pork belly. Even a slightly more generous portion (and a bit more salad to balance it out) would take it up a notch. Especially as a nearby competitor doesn’t offer crispy pork belly at all, this feels like a great chance to stand out although their portions are noticeably more generous when it comes to fillings. That said, the service was genuinely lovely, and the space left a great impression, even though I was just popping in for takeaway. By all means I still do recommend it’s worth a try ☺️”
