About Su Vegan Buffet
Su Vegan Buffet is a vegan restaurant in London, at 86 Uxbridge Rd, serving an all-you-can-eat Asian buffet with Chinese-style dishes. Mock meat covers the protein side, with vegan chicken and beef made from soy, alongside tofu dishes. Hot dishes include mapo tofu and sesame prawn toast, and the spread also takes in rice, noodles, dumplings and a range of vegetables. Cold starters, salads and deep-fried snacks sit next to the hot dishes, and the buffet is topped up with fresh items. The menu lists 16 dishes in total, and a tapioca coconut dessert with marinated apple rings finishes the meal. Guests help themselves, so they can choose how much of each dish to take. The drinks list includes Thai Ginseng Tea, and wine is served too.

Customer Review Summary
Mapo tofu is the dish reviewers name most often at this all-you-can-eat vegan buffet, with sweet and sour vegan chicken close behind. The vegetable tempura, sesame prawn toast and a soy chicken stir fry are also singled out. Diners describe a wide spread of hot and cold dishes, including fried, steamed and spicy options, dumplings, noodles, rice and a tasty salad selection, with sauces that carry a lot of flavour. Several say the staff are friendly and keep topping up the buffet with fresh items, and the value gets repeated praise. The caveats are modest. One reviewer finds some dishes a little oily at times, another found only one tofu dish on the day, and a regular says the lineup is largely the same each visit. The decor is described as very basic but comfortable. A few prefer filling takeaway boxes, saying a large plate's worth of food fits, and one finished with the tapioca coconut dessert and marinated apple rings.

“Very tasty vegan food with a wide range of options. There were various alternative meats used, with only one tofu dish (mapo tofu) on the day that I went. The cold dishes were some of my favourites, with a lot of flavour in the sauces. I was pleased that most of the dishes were not in the British Chinese food style, only the sweet and sour vegan chicken had the sweet and thick sauce that I associate with anglicised Chinese food. Some dishes were fairly spicy. The restaurant itself is very basic in terms of decor and furnishings, but comfortable enough. The weeknight dinner price of £12.99 seemed very reasonable for a buffet in London. I also bought a regular size takeaway box for £5 to have for lunch the next day.”

“This was the second time we visited and have really enjoyed their buffet, for the price there are plenty of options and variation. Fried, Steamed, stir fried, hot, spicy, sweet and sour, hot and cold dishes. Friendly staff. Everything cooked fresh. If only it was a little closer to home, I'd be here regularly. Very pleased and satisfied.”

“Really great, would love to come again. Came with a friend around midday on a Saturday for the £12.99 deal & had two rounds. Great vegan Chinese food options. Particularly loved the tempura, noodles, the refreshing tapioca coconut dessert with the marinated apple rings also.”

“This place is a fantastic cheap eat and everythibg is vegan. They have everything you could want from a vegan buffet my personal favourites are the sweet and sour chicken, mapo tofu, and succulent soy chicken stir fry but everything is so tasty. They also have a really tasty selection of salads! I've been a few times while staying in london and while it is all you can I find the takeaway containers to be better value for money bc I don't eat too much but you can still fit a large plates worth of food in them and take it home. My only complaint is some of the dishes can be a little oily at times but for me thats not a big issue. I definitelt reccomend.”

“Tried everything on the buffet and all of it was great. Couldn't pick a favourite dish but enjoy the use of peppers and spice. Staff very funny. Obviously great value.”
