About Fait Maison
Fait Maison is a Middle Eastern restaurant at 48 S Molton St in London, cooking that draws on both Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavours. Its Breakfast From The East menu is traditional Arabic, with foul and shakshuka served alongside Moroccan tea. Classic brunch dishes and fresh salads sit elsewhere on the menu, and spiced dinner plates round out the kitchen's range. The drinks list includes barista coffee, filter coffee and freshly squeezed juice. The dining room is small, with tables set close together. A dessert display stands at the entrance.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast and brunch draw the most praise, with reviewers singling out the Breakfast From The East, shakshuka, foul and lamb liver, all described as full of flavour. Close behind are the egg turkey croissant, paratha bread with egg, the Moroccan tea that tasted authentic, and the dessert display at the entrance. Several describe the decor as beautiful and elegant, the servers as friendly and welcoming, and the baristas' coffee and fresh juice as great. The main complaint is cost. Several call the prices high, and one reviewer cited a latte and a bottle of water left on the table that appeared on the bill without being flagged as chargeable. Service slows when the room fills, tables sit close together and get loud, and one reviewer felt a waiter ignored their reservation until another staff member arrived. One reviewer suggests arriving before 10am to beat the crowd. Several mention birthdays being celebrated with desserts, and one group asking for a candle and cake ended up with a whole team singing and dancing.

“Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. Visited with a friend for a casual catch-up. Although the café itself was lovely, the service wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming, and the prices were ridiculous. Every table had a bottle of water already placed on it, so I naturally assumed it was complimentary and opened ours. It was only when we received the bill that we realised we'd been charged £7 for it! I found this quite misleading, especially as it wasn't made clear to us beforehand. The prices in general were astonishing. A latte was around £6, and Turkish coffee was listed at £12! We didn't order the latter, but I couldn't believe the price. We ended up paying around £11 each for a simple café visit. I appreciate that this is Central London, but the pricing and overall experience simply weren't worth it. Lovely decor, but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it or return.”

“Great food and vibe, just a bit cozy! We decided to visit after reading great reviews, and overall, it did not disappoint! The restaurant has a wonderful vibe—calm, elegant, and stylish with a subtle English charm, even though the menu is international/fusion. The Good: The Food & Drinks: Absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, nicely presented, and cooked to perfection. It’s an ideal spot for a great breakfast or brunch. Value: Prices aren't cheap, but they are very reasonable considering the quality of the food you get. Good to Know: The Venue: It’s quite a small, intimate space with tables packed fairly close together. When it gets busy, it can get pretty loud and privacy is minimal. Service: The staff was friendly, though service slowed down a bit when the place filled up. Verdict: Despite the tight seating and slightly slow service during peak hours, I wouldn't miss the experience. It’s a definite YES for me, and I’ll certainly be back to try more of the menu! A huge thank you.. 💛”

“A great little place just off the craziness from Bond Street.. Really nice decor inside and the service was really good. Initially one of the waiters didn’t acknowledge whilst waiting to tell them we had a reservation but once the main person arrived we felt more welcome and the service the rest of the time was better..saved them a negative review on service! Food was absolutely delicious.. highly recommend this place for a brunch and lunch!”

“Went here today for breakfast! Amazing place as always, never disappoints! Thanks to the lovely staff, Ahmed, Sara and the manager Louie! Thank you for the warmth and generosity. Also, thank you celebrating my birthday and desserts! 10/10 place, should visit!!”

“The café’s décor is very beautiful, and the dessert display at the entrance is extremely tempting. The food was very good overall. There were two items that did not meet my expectations in terms of quality, but tastes vary from person to person. In general, sitting in the café gives you a sense of comfort and joy. The prices are somewhat expensive.”
