Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the room itself: huge windows flooding the space with light, vast ceilings, a large Pegasus sculpture and an Art Deco look that one diner calls a place to see and be seen. Service comes close behind, described as friendly and welcoming, with one server recommending the pea ravioli and the bar team praised for its cocktails. Dishes singled out include the tuna tacos, tuna tartare, cauliflower soup, Korean chicken, mushroom rice bowl, salmon and apple tart, while a set lunch of goat's cheese mousse and pan fried seabass pleased another table. At breakfast, the English breakfast and eggs benedict get praise, though one reviewer found the pancakes neither fresh nor homemade. The food draws more mixed comment. One birthday table found the starters over salted and some tasting funny, so dishes went unfinished, and the steaks arrived warm with the sides coming after the mains. Another diner called the food very good but not the main attraction, and noted the cutlery being replaced between courses.

“Went to Brasserie of Light after work with a few friends and honestly had such a nice time. We tried a few different things, and I went for the tuna tacos which were actually so good not really what I was expecting at all. The apple tart was probably my favourite though, and our waitress recommended the pea ravioli which was also really good. It was genuinely one of the prettiest ravioli dishes I’ve had 😂 I’m such a sucker for food that looks cute. The staff were also really lovely and welcoming, and kept giving us little recommendations and checking in throughout the evening. We somehow even managed to get a table on a busy Thursday/Friday after work, which I wasn’t expecting. Nice place for dinner or brunch, would definitely go back.”

“Located on the 1st floor of Selfridges, this is a lovely location for a spot of lunch before shopping. Spacious bright, airy decor with lots of mirrors. Lovely friendly service from front of house to table. They have a decent set lunch menu which was delightful - I had the goat’s cheese mousse with grilled nectarines followed by a well cooked pan fried seabass with braised fennel. Wide variety of cocktails to choose from their drinks menu. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch here very much & hope to return again in the near future.”
