About Cottons Notting Hill
Cottons Notting Hill is a Caribbean restaurant in London at 157-159 Notting Hill Gate, and it holds the Guinness World Record for the most rums available commercially, with 372 on offer. That gives rum drinkers a long list to work through at the bar, alongside Caribbean-inspired cocktails such as the Cleopatra Pina Colada. The food menu is built around shareable plates, led by the Mixed Jerk Grill Platter and the Jerk Pork Ribs. A vegan option sits on the menu too, along with fresh salads. Select cocktails come as a 2-for-1 offer during happy hour from 5 to 7 pm. The restaurant has been fully redesigned, and the update added an expanded bar.

Customer Review Summary
Cocktails draw the most mention, led by the Cleopatra Pina Colada, which reviewers call a signature drink and describe as generously poured, though one found the excess alcohol too much. The rum punch at bottomless brunch gets similar praise, with a host who kept glasses filled. On the food, reviewers name the jerk pork ribs, ebony wings, spring rolls, lamb chops with creamy yam mash, and mutton curry, and several describe the staff as friendly. The complaints are concrete. A shared starter platter of two spring rolls, a few plantain pieces, fritters and wings was called too pricey for what arrived, and a prawn starter came with only four prawns for five people. Fish dishes were called over salted. Two reviewers describe long waits for appetizers and mains, one saying the mains arrived warm rather than hot and the flavours were not Caribbean. Another says the two for one happy hour offered only one cocktail, contrary to the menu, and found the drinks mediocre. One birthday diner was given free shots on the house.

“Called in for “happy” hour where they’ve a 2 for 1 cocktail offer. Staff grunted at us to welcome us in and informed us only one option existed for happy hour (not what the menu says). We asked for two of them - very mediocre cocktails, poor service and unfortunately I can say I understand why the place was near empty.”

“Amazing brunch, vibes was soo good. Food was good. Rum punch was 10/10 and was flowing to perfection. The hosts was amazing. The old manager came back from Vauxhall, he is such a vibe and a sweetheart, he makes every visit personal and pleasant. Our host a young man was very attentive and didn't stop filling up our drinks. Bottomless brunch well worth it, especially if you want to drink. We will be back”

“The staff was friendly, especially the guy. I loved the ebony wings but didn’t really enjoy the pina colada because of the excess alcohol in it. I got free shots on the house for my birthday which was great! Food is also very affordable there which is good.”
