About The Ledbury

On Ledbury Rd in London, The Ledbury is a modern European restaurant with a fine dining format. The menu runs as a multi-course tasting format, with dishes such as Foie Gras, Mackerel and Cornish Cod moving through the sixteen-item list, and a wine pairing option offered alongside an extensive wine list for those who want a matched course. The chef patron takes an active role in service, visiting tables to serve some of the dishes personally, and guests are offered a kitchen tour before they leave. Reservations are recommended given the format. The entrance is step-free, making the room accessible to visitors with mobility needs. The restaurant keeps a fixed weekly rhythm, open Tuesday to Saturday and closed on Mondays and Sundays, which shapes when the tasting menu and its pairing option are available to book.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers consistently center their praise on the tasting menu experience, with the tempura scallop, sweetbreads, and a deer main course featuring broth, heart, and tongue singled out as standout courses. Close behind is the wine program, repeatedly called excellent and paired thoughtfully with each dish, alongside cocktails like a well-made Negroni. Many describe the front of house team and the chef himself as warm and unpretentious, often stopping tableside to explain dishes or offer a kitchen tour, which reviewers say sets the restaurant apart from other Michelin-starred spots. A recurring note of critique appears too: one diner felt a dish with black caviar overwhelmed more delicate flavors with showiness, and another reports being followed outside and asked to settle the bill mid-dessert while stepping out to vape, which they found unpleasant despite an otherwise strong meal. Several reviewers mention celebrating birthdays or anniversaries here, and one recalls being offered a kitchen tour and a substitute dish made without issue for a food intolerance.

“I had the pleasure of celebrating my 40th birthday at The Ledbury over the weekend, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Every course of the tasting menu was exquisite, showcasing incredible craftsmanship and the very finest ingredients. Each dish was beautifully balanced and memorable, creating a dining experience unlike any other. The wine pairing was equally impressive, with Will, the sommelier, expertly guiding us through the extensive wine list to complement every course perfectly. What truly sets The Ledbury apart, however, is the service. Jack, the General Manager, leads by example, and it shows throughout the entire team. Everyone went above and beyond, paying attention to even the smallest details to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and an evening we’ll never forget. A truly world-class restaurant and a genuine bucket-list experience. If you ever have the opportunity to dine at The Ledbury, don’t hesitate—you won’t be disappointed.”

“I won’t mention any other Michelin starred restaurants that I had been to but .. from the three Michelin starred restaurant run by a woman, to the chef who likes to swear and shout to people, to the most iconic restaurant at 150 Piccadilly street. ..They should all step back and relax! The Ledbury has just topped the chart by a mile! It is a journey of culinary excellence and genius, innovative ideas. Everything you would expect from a three stars dining and actually not- because every bite delivers another surprise and a world of delicious exploration and explosion. Every detail was carefully crafted and executed. The love and respect for the food and the quality of the seasonal ingredients were on display through out all eight courses. The ambience was really charming, calming but casual. The staff did their best to make our day very special. Hats off and keep showing how it has to be done. You are greatly appreciated! Thank you I”

“Food and drinks were delicious. Most memorable part was the staff. Incredibly kind and friendly. They really make you feel at home and get to know you in the short time you're there.”

“What can I say, an absolutely exceptional experience from start to finish. Having recently celebrated my 40th birthday, I can't think of a more special way to mark the occasion than lunch at The Ledbury. The food was extraordinary, with every course beautifully executed and showcasing some of the finest ingredients I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. What truly made the experience unforgettable, however, was the hospitality. Every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome and created an atmosphere that was both relaxed and incredibly special. A special thank you to Jack, the General Manager, whose warmth, professionalism and attention to detail made the day even more memorable - as did every member of the team! Sharing such a wonderful experience with close friends made it all the more meaningful, and it is a day I will treasure forever. Everyone should visit The Ledbury at least once – it is quite simply one of the most remarkable dining experiences I have ever had. Feeling very grateful!”

“Just back from an amazing lunch at The Ledbury. Upon arrival we were greeted by Brett’s daughter only 9 who was working for the day. Such a nice welcome. Shortly after Brett came over and introduced himself and chatted for about 5 mins. The food was incredible (sweetbreads were the best dish for me) and the service was impeccable. The restaurant is relaxed and in no way pretentious. We were made to feel very welcome And even had a tour of the kitchen before we left. A special mention for Luca who was working at our table. Very friendly and funny! All in all we had a great time and can’t wait to go back. What struck me was how Brett made so much time for the customers. You really get the impression he genuinely cares about the customer experience. Any wonder the restaurant is so successful with him at helm. We look forward to visiting again.”
