Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the friendly, attentive servers, with several describing hosts who made them feel welcome and looked after without being intrusive, and one noting a server who found a way to order a smaller portion of a second dish. The food comes close behind. At brunch, diners name the French toast stack with vanilla crème and the full Côte breakfast with black pudding. At dinner they name the Beef Cheek Bourguignon and the Poulet Breton with Petits Pois à la Française, and one reviewer calls the mussels and frites the best. The coffee and breakfast also earn praise for being quick enough to fit in before a Kensington Palace tour. The complaints are few but specific. One diner felt some tables got higher priority than others, and another found the avocado in the green salad had turned brown. Outdoor tables are mentioned as a pleasant touch, and two diners were pleased by a free extra, a couple of glasses of Crémant Rosé with dinner and a cocktail through the app.

“Lovely venue off the main road- you feel like you could just be at a bistro in France. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, served swiftly and to our taste. Our server, Patrick was absolutely splendid- so attentive, genuinely friendly and personable. You rarely find people who enjoy hospitality and are natural, welcoming hosts so it was such a lovely surprise! Thank you for a wonderful evening- we will return soon!”

“I kind of liked it. The food was good, and tasty. We sat outside and that added to the experience. Not so excited with the service - it felt some tables have higher priority than others.”

“We havent been to Côte since just after Covid, and for the life of me I cant think why not? What a fantastic evening at Côte Brasserie Kensington! From the moment we arrived, the whole team made us feel incredibly welcome. A special mention has to go to Khadija (I hope I've spelt that correctly!), who went so far above and beyond that we're half convinced she secretly owns the place. Her service was outstanding, she was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made our evening even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely superb, every dish was spot on, and the atmosphere was brilliant. It's rare to find a team where everyone is so switched on and clearly enjoys what they do. We'll definitely be back very soon. And to whoever's reading this at Head Office... I think this entire team has earned themselves a paid day off (or at the very least a very generous bonus)! Thanks for a wonderful evening.”

“Delicious breakfast and super quick! We had to get in and out in order to make our tour at Kensington Palace. We requested a quick turnaround and were in and out in less than 45 minutes! The coffee was especially delicious.”

“Although I have probably visited most of the London Côtes ( and a substantial number outside London), this was my first visit to this branch. The service was excellent; thanks to my friendly server, Simon. The food was delicious, however, please don't allow the avocado in the green salad to oxidise and turn brown! I took advantage of the free cocktail with the app I downloaded. I left feeling very full so it was a good job I planned to take a long walk afterwards.”
