Customer Review Summary

Lamb and rice draw the most praise, with reviewers singling out the rice and lamb as delicious and the kharouf with rice as soft and rich. Close behind are the shawarma platter, described as fresh, and a mixed grill of juicy, tender meats, while others mention lentil soup, juicy chicken and big portions. Desserts include rice pudding, a soft pancake and an orange dessert, with Lebanese coffee infused with cardamom. Staff are called friendly and welcoming, and the owner's suggestions landed well. The main complaint comes from one detailed negative review: the lamb shawarma arrived with sparse, dry meat and only raw onion, a chilli and a roasted onion, and the okra with lamb sat in a runny, flavourless tomato sauce with soft, overcooked okra. That reviewer also felt no compensation was offered after saying the meal was fine, and regretted paying the service charge. One diner recalls the owner, who is also the chef, coming out to explain the seven day preparation of the orange dessert.

“Have been here several times, food is fantastic, feels like it’s cooked with love (that’s the only explanation I can find, otherwise how else it should be that tasty?) staff’s very lovely and helpful, portions are big if to say the least, strongly recommending”

“UNBELIEVABLE!! Authentic Lebanese soul food. The BEST ingredients. Vegetarian friendly. The host offered specials and tailored the lunch set menu to our needs. The dessert specials were out of this world. Even the coffee - Lebanese, achingly fresh, infused with cardamom. Every dish and part of the dish was like I was eating for the first time. I am high, wide-eyed and giggly with how much I enjoyed this meal. Not the cheapest. But where in London is?! And this is a small, independent family business. The owner is the chef. And came out to speak with us about 7 DAYS preparationprocess for the orange dessert! Go! Go Now!”

“The food was absolutely delicious! I loved it and the chicken was so juicy and rich. There was a table next to us that was being quite loud but that isn’t really the fault of the restaurant and the waiter took a bit long to take our order but it all worked out. Great place expect to come again.”
