Customer Review Summary
The mezze platter is what reviewers return to most, praised for hummus, falafel, warm flatbreads, and a smoky baba ghanuj alongside tangy tabbouleh. One diner calls it a fantastic example of what mezze should be, and another says the bread was brilliant. Close behind are the meat dishes, with the kofta, tagine, chicken shawarma bowl and lamb koftas named as fresh and delicious. Hommos is a favourite for one family, while drinkers single out the strawberry and coconut cooler with a splash of rose, hibiscus tea, and a coffee topped with rose petals. Servers are described as kind, attentive and polite, and one reviewer notes staff asked about cross contamination for an allergy. Families mention a children's menu that folds into a fez and comes with crayons. The caveat comes from one reviewer who found the mini plates expensive, the wait for the order long, and the shared tables cramped with little space between chairs. Another found the dining room a little noisy and preferred an outside table in the square. Several arrived without a booking on busy days and were seated quickly, and one guest with a walking stick was allowed to sit while the table was prepared.

“We came without a reservation on a Friday afternoon and were seated immediately. The food is very fresh here - kofta, tagine, and hibiscus tea were delicious and restoring. Our server, Lily, was kind and attentive. Dining room is nicely decorated but was a little noisy. Recommend outside table in the square instead if the weather is nice. Thank you for a lovely experience :)”

“I have such lovely memories of Comptoir Libanais in South Kensington. 🇱🇧 Years ago, when my mum came to visit London, I had a lovely meal here with her and my daughter. ❤️ This time, with my nephew visiting, we decided to have a family lunch in South Kensington again. We hadn’t made a reservation. After visiting my daughter’s old school and enjoying the area in full tourist mode for a change, we were ready for lunch! 😄 Perhaps we chose dishes with milder flavours that suited our taste, but everything was so delicious that we finished it all in no time. 😋 If you take a good look at the menu, there are actually lots of Lebanese dishes that suit our palate. After trying Lebanese food here, I remember thinking, “Lebanese food is really good!” So now I find myself wanting to come back again and again, trying different dishes to suit each season. 🌿☀️🍂❄️ And of course, one of my favourites — Hommos! ❤️ A lovely place for a relaxed family meal, with good food and even better memories. I think we’ll be back again soon. 😊 Aug 2026 #ComptoirLibanais #SouthKensington #LebaneseFood #LondonFood #LondonRestaurants #SouthKensingtonRestaurants #FamilyLunch #FamilyTime #Hommos #LebaneseCuisine #LondonEats”

“It was a very busy Friday evening but despite that we only had a short wait to be seated with no booking. They kindly spotted my Mum has a walking stick and allowed her to sit while our table was prepared. There's a great menu with lots of choices and a separate children's menu that cleverly folds into a fez. It was provided with crayons too. A main and a drink was £7.25 for kids, very reasonable for central London. My daughter rated the chicken 20,000 out of 20 and cleared her plate (except the pomegranate seeds lol). Adults indulged in strawberry & coconut cooler which was taken to the next level with a splash of rose and was very refreshing. Staff catered for my allergy and even asked about cross contamination. Meals came quickly despite the fact it was so busy. I really enjoyed the mezze platter. It was a fantastic example of what mezze should be. I don't usually like the turnip (pink) pickles but these were delicious. Tabbouleh was fresh and tangy, baba ghanuj was delightfully smoky. Fresh lemon/limeade available with different flavours recommended I look forward to returning.”

“We had a wonderful experience at Comptoir Libanais! As Koreans, we are not very familiar with Lebanese cuisine, so this was our first time trying it — and we absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, full of interesting flavors, and it was a great introduction to Lebanese food. A special thank you to Anmol, who took such great care of us. He was very friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and made our first experience with Lebanese cuisine even more enjoyable. Great food, warm atmosphere, and excellent service. We would definitely come back. Thank you, Anmol, for making our first visit so memorable!”
