Quick info
About Tapas Brindisa South Kensington
Tapas Brindisa South Kensington is a tapas restaurant at 7-9 Exhibition Rd in London, set in a glass-fronted room with an open kitchen. The menu is built around small, shareable portions, so a table can order several plates and pass them around. Jamon croquettes sit alongside pan con tomate, which takes anchovies as an add-on. A charcuterie and cheese selection includes torta de barros, and daily specials change what is on offer, with a heritage tomato salad as one example. The restaurant sits close to South Kensington tube station.

What reviewers say
Reviewers most often mention jamon croquettes, sangria, pan con tomate and patatas bravas.
Customer Review Summary
Croquetas draw the most repeated praise, with the jamon version called superb and another diner calling them fantastic alongside goat cheese. Close behind are the pan con tomate, where one reviewer suggests adding anchovies, a cauliflower dish that stole the show for one table, and a heritage tomato salad from the daily specials. Padron peppers, patatas bravas, prawns and a charcuterie selection of meats and cheeses also turn up. Red sangria earns praise, and one reviewer recommends the white Rioja. Staff are described as friendly, welcoming and quick, and the atmosphere as bubbly and lively, with heaters making outdoor seating pleasant on a damp day. Reviewers do raise a few reservations: portions are on the small side, one found the food a bit salty, and another disliked staff coming over to check whether they had finished eating. One table recalls a server explaining the different cheeses and surprising them with an extra piece of torta de barros.

“We had such a lovely experience at Tapas Brindisa! The food was absolutely delicious, with great flavours and everything we tried was beautifully prepared. A special mention to Giuseppe, our host, who was incredibly kind, warm and attentive. He genuinely made us feel at home and added such a personal touch to the whole experience. The atmosphere was super bubbly, lively and welcoming, the perfect place to enjoy great tapas and have a really good time. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Some of the best tapas that I’ve had. The cauliflower dish stole the show. We also really enjoyed the charcuterie - great selection of meats add cheeses. Sendy went above and beyond for us, providing some insights into the different cheeses and even surprising us with an extra piece of torta de barros (our runaway favourite). What a hospitable staff!”

“A great Tapas restaurant located really close to the South Ken tube station and Exhibition Road. Warmly greeted by Michelle on arrival and everyone that works there is just a pleasant. I went during the heatwave and so my appetite wasn’t the biggest, but what I did eat was fantastic! I had the pan con tomate, and I recommend adding the anchovies, which was just what I needed on a hot day, and then jamon croquettes which were superb. Service was fast and efficient which is what I wanted as I was on my own, but it being a tapas restaurant you can obviously have a much more relaxed meal. I’ll be heading back to try more of the menu now the weather has cooled down… and I want to try the sangria as it looked fantastic!”
