About Chez Antoinette Victoria
Chez Antoinette Victoria is a French restaurant in London, tucked away behind Victoria Street at 22 Palmer St. The owners set it up as a canteen for locals and a dining room for the business community. The kitchen draws on Parisian cafés and the guinguettes of Lyon, reworking classic dishes with fresh seasonal ingredients. The menu includes croque monsieur and croque madame, baked Camembert and a corn-fed chicken supreme, and crème brûlée is available for dessert. A space upstairs accommodates large groups. The team speaks French.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the crème brûlée, with one calling the portion massive and loving the crust, though another found the flavour just ok and not sweet inside. Close behind are the chicken supreme, described as perfectly cooked with a rich, velvety sauce, and the steak tartare with parmesan. Others name the baked Camembert, croque monsieurs, croque madame, pain perdu, tarte au citron and an avocado toast one diner found wonderful. Service draws repeated warmth, with reviewers calling the staff friendly, welcoming and accommodating, and one noting they spoke French. Terrace seating with a canopy and heaters is praised, even on a rainy day. The recurring caveat is space. One diner found the inside packed and cramped, and another found the café tables a little cramped with several drinks and dishes. One reviewer wanted a larger portion of the oat porridge brûlée, and another said the lone waiter on the terrace got bogged down while they waited for the bill. One diner liked a housemade salted caramel and chocolate chip cookie to take away.

“We had a wonderful experience at Chez Antoinette. The food was delicious, and the Corn-fed Chicken Supreme was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. What really made our visit special was the service. The staff were genuinely warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They made us feel very comfortable and looked after us throughout our meal. We would happily come back next time we’re in London. Highly recommended!”

“Excellent, authentic, and welcoming French restaurant. Great food. Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. We were looked after by Annice who went out of her way to make sure we had all we needed. Recommended.”

“We went to Chez Antoinette after Westminster Abbey and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had the best baked Camembert I have ever put my lips to. The croque monsieurs were perfectly done and the Milky Blue tea was one of my favorites. For dessert I had the Tarte aux fraise and my mother had the gâteau chocolate Antoinette which were both delicious! Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was bright and fresh without being loud”

“This place is a good, authentic substitute for a slightly upscale Parisian brasserie. We had a long, relaxed lunch on the terrace and enjoyed dishes like classic french onion soup (typical brasserie quality), a surprisingly tasty roasted aubergine (like ratatouille, but served on an entire open-faced half of roasted eggplant), the chicken supreme (with roasted vegetables and a rich, velvety sauce). Our daughter enjoyed the cod niçoise (she likes vegetables). The service was warm, patient, and attentive to our needs. Only towards the end of our meal did the one waiter serving the entire terrace get a little bogged down in tables while we wrapped up and waited for our bill. Luckily, we were in no rush. We sat on the terrace on a fairly rainy summer day, but with a canopy and heaters it was more than enjoyable. The cafe tables are extremely authentic to Paris, but a little cramped if you have several drinks and dishes.”

“A big thank you to Emmanuel for making our dining experience at Chez Antoinette a memorable one! My family and I really enjoyed his warm and friendly service. He recommended delicious meals for us and made sure we were having a great time. The food came through in a timely manner and the drinks were tasty. I'll definitely return with more friends. Merci beaucoup!”

“Tucked away behind Victoria Street and only minutes away from St James’s Park and Victoria station, Chez Antoinette Victoria adds to the neighbourhood’s vibrant french restaurant. An oasis of calm locals would prefer us to keep a secret. “We wanted to create a canteen for the locals and provide the business community with a new dining-room” Jean-Baptiste Noel, JB, co-owner. Chez Antoinette Victoria draws inspiration from the beloved Parisian cafés, combined with a blend of Lyon’s famous guinguettes, reinterpreting classic dishes treating fresh seasonal ingredients with a modern sensibility.
