Quick info
About Emilia’s Crafted Pasta - Victoria
Emilia's Crafted Pasta - Victoria is a fresh-pasta restaurant in London at 56 Victoria St. The pasta, sauces and desserts are prepared each morning in an open kitchen, and the menu is mostly pasta dishes. Lamb and sage butter ravioli sits alongside carbonara, with a salmon version of the carbonara also on offer. Toasted sourdough with burrata is among the starters, and pistachio cheesecake is on the dessert list. A private dining room gives groups a space of their own, and the food is halal. The artisan gelato comes from a small business in Italy, with pistachio and chocolate and hazelnut among the flavours.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the fresh, handmade pasta, with carbonara (including a salmon version) and the lamb ravioli with sage butter named repeatedly. One diner calls the carbonara the best they have had, and another says it was not overly creamy. Close behind is dessert, especially the pistachio cheesecake and pistachio ice cream with real pieces of nut, along with an affogato, chocolate and hazelnut gelato and a salted caramel hot chocolate. Starters such as burrata with toasted sourdough and bruschetta also get a mention. The main complaint comes from one reviewer, who says the lamb ravioli here had a mostly green filling with no discernible meat, unlike the version at another branch, and calls it false advertising. A couple of parties found the restaurant full and took it as a good sign, and one suggests reserving rather than settling for the bar. Servers are praised for explaining dishes to an undecided table, and one bar guest notes they were never rushed and received the bill only when they asked.

“The service was great, our waitress was very friendly and helpful, particularly when one of our party was stuck between which of two dishes to go for, and our waitress gave us some more information about the different dishes. The food was really tasty, the portion sizes were perfect for us and the prices were reasonable. We had the toasted sourdough with a burrata as a starter, which was also delicious. It was really nice food, it tasted homemade and we will definitely be back again!”

“I visited your Tower Hill branch and the lamb ravioli was delicious, and very meaty. This time around I had to enquire if lamb had actually been included - the filling was mostly green! I couldn't taste any meat at all. Not worth the price and in my opinion, false advertising. Compare the attached photos - the first two are from the Tower Hill branch - clearly meaty, you can see the lamb filling. The third is from this branch. Please rectify here, as it is such a great dish!!”

“We tried to eat here yesterday but it was full, which we took as a good sign and booked a reservation for today! A super simple menu of mostly pastas, but they were very well done! The pasta was hand made in store and paired well with their sauces. We also enjoyed sitting on the patio and people watching on the busy street.”

“We really enjoyed our dinner here. All of the dishes were fresh and delicious. Our favourites were the bruschetta and the lamb ravioli. And the salted caramel hot chocolate from the dessert menu was great!”

“What a fantastic place for dinner. I stopped in and had the lamb and sage butter ravioli and the rocket salad. The ravioli was done perfectly, the lamb filling was great, and the sage butter sauce was wonderful. The best part was the healthy heaping of aged Parmesan on top! The salad had a balsamic vinaigrette very light and tasty. But the tomatoes and peppers were very good and made the salad worth it. Overall a fantastic place to get a great meal!”
