About atis Moorgate
atis Moorgate is a health food restaurant in London at 113 Finsbury Pavement, organised around a build-your-own counter. Guests assemble a salad or bowl by choosing from sections of bases, main ingredients, add-ons, proteins and dressings. Blackened chicken is one of the protein options, and chipotle lime dressing is one of the dressing choices. Salmon and grilled chicken can also be added, and plant-based builds are available. Anyone who would rather not assemble their own can order the Waxaka salad, which the staff point to. Warm bowls and protein plates sit alongside the salads on the menu. Ingredients at the counter carry no labels. Lunch and dinner are both served.

Customer Review Summary
Build-your-own salad bowls are what reviewers describe most, with blackened chicken the protein they name repeatedly, alongside hot honey salmon, harissa grains, black bean mix and a chipotle lime dressing that one diner says brought a generous, filling bowl together. Several call the ingredients fresh, and the Banana Nut and Green Glow drinks are praised as refreshing. One reviewer loved the Waxaka salad that staff recommended. Service divides sharply. Some describe warm, attentive staff, while others say workers rush first-timers and offer little help, with music too loud for conversation and no labels on the sections when assembling a bowl. Temperature draws a separate complaint, with one reviewer finding the blackened chicken and roasted carrots cold, the sauce too thick and the chicken portion small, and another disliking an artificial-tasting corn. The same cold-food review still found the sweet potatoes tasty.

“Decided to build my own bowl at Atis because I wanted to customise things a little more than the preset options allowed and try a few more ingredients! For my two bases, I went with harissa grains and mixed greens. For my main ingredients, I chose the black bean mix, charred corn, pickled red onions and pickled red chillies, but naturally, four ingredients didn’t feel like enough, so I added the pink and white slaw and olives too. Feta for my add-on, hot honey salmon for my protein, and I asked for the blackened chicken on the side as well. To finish it off, I went for Blanco Niño Chipotle Tortilla Chips for the crunch and the chipotle lime dressing. The bowl was STACKED. A very generous portion, super filling and a really nice combination of flavours overall. The chipotle lime dressing brought everything together, especially with the black beans and tortilla chips. Chef’s kiss! 🤌🏽 The only ingredient I wasn’t particularly keen on was the corn. It had a slightly strange taste that I couldn’t quite put my finger on, almost a little artificial? Everything else was lovely, though. One tiny thing I wish they did was mix the dressing into the bowl for you. I’ve been to a competitor that does this, and it saves you having to mix everything yourself and potentially make a mess. Not a big deal at all, just a little detail that would make the experience even better! Probably not the most virtuous salad bowl given everything I piled into it, but we’re all about balance, right? Overall, a really enjoyable, customisable and filling lunch. I’d happily go back to try another combination!”

“Bad experience. Low cleaning standards and many flies on top of the food. The people working there are not clear and I ended up spending 14£ for a salad that is just decent, no more than ok. There are no labels and it is not easy to understand things when you create your salad and the workers are not very helpful, they just want you to move on”

“A big thank you to the entire team, and especially Danni, the manager, for such a warm and welcoming experience. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, fresh, and inviting from the moment i arrived. The food was beautifully presented, full of colour, incredibly fresh, and absolutely delicious. Excellent service, a fantastic atmosphere, and a truly enjoyable dining experience. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to others.”

“First and final visit. Save yourself the trouble. The queue moves quickly which, in hindsight, should have been a red flag. Turns out they’re not efficient, the staff are just impatient . The staff were some of the rudest I have encountered at any restaurant, at any price point. As a first-timer, I needed a moment to understand the sections before ordering. That moment was not granted. I was rushed, pressured, and made to feel stupid for daring to look at the food before selecting it. The music was so loud that basic communication was a challenge, and rather than show any understanding, staff responded to my confusion with visible irritation and frustration. Instead of feeling like a guest, I felt like a transaction they wanted to process and move on from. Essentially I paid £15 to be treated with contempt with a side of salad. The audacity of premium pricing paired with this level of hostility is genuinely staggering. There is nothing on that menu worth the experience of being made to feel unwelcome in a room you are actively paying to be in.”

“Tried Atis for the first time today and it was nothing short of exceptional. The salad was exquisitely fresh, with every ingredient thoughtfully prepared and beautifully balanced. The Green Glow drink was equally impressive- vibrant, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. Special commendation to the Moorgate team for their warm hospitality and impeccable standards of cleanliness. The atmosphere clearly reflects strong leadership, professionalism, and pride in service. Congratulations to Atis Moorgate on setting such a high benchmark for excellence.”
