Quick info
About Duck & Waffle
Duck & Waffle is a modern European restaurant at 110 Bishopsgate in London, set on the 40th floor and reached by lift. Floor-to-ceiling windows give the dining room panoramic views over the city. The kitchen takes British dishes as its base and adds European influences, with seasonal and sustainable ingredients as its stated focus. The Duck & Waffle pairs crispy duck with a waffle, a sauce and a duck egg. Breakfast brings the Duck Benedict, and vegetarian dishes are on the menu for other meals. Afternoon tea is also served, with a vegetarian version for guests who want one. A bar area is available, and guests can wait there while their table is set up.

Customer Review Summary
The signature Duck & Waffle is what most reviewers come for, with the duck described as crispy outside and tender inside, set against a waffle that is crisp and light. Close behind are the views from the 40th floor and the lift ride up, which several call breathtaking. Others mention the Duck Benedict, the Full English, polenta croquettes and a lentil ragout, plus lamb as a brilliant main. Many pick it for birthdays and graduations, and one party received a complimentary dessert. Staff earn repeated praise, especially a receptionist who welcomed guests warmly. The caveats are specific. One reviewer says the small plates felt overpriced, another notes a 15% service charge, and one found the breakfast only okay. Service felt rushed at times when the room was full, and one diner lost their first server mid-meal and waited for water and extra orders. One finds the interior has too many haphazard colors, giving a cafeteria-like feel. One group swapped items on the vegetarian afternoon tea for egg and fish, and that request was granted.

“Went to Duck & Waffle for a friend’s job celebration and had such a lovely experience! The breakfast itself was okay, but honestly, it was the overall experience and stunning views that made it so special. Such a beautiful setting, especially for a celebration! Our hostess was also super lovely and welcoming, which really added to the experience. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion, especially if you’re looking for somewhere with amazing views and a great atmosphere!”

“Lamia greeted us so kindly and warmly when we arrived and made us feel so welcome from the very beginning. We had booked in advance, and she had thoughtfully saved the best seat in the house for us, which made the experience feel so personal and special. She was incredibly kind, warm, lovely and genuinely caring throughout our visit. Her hospitality made our Duck & Waffle experience even more memorable. You could really tell that she cared about making sure we had the best possible time. Thank you so much, Lamia, for making our visit so special! ❤️”

“This was my first time dining at Duck & Waffle, and overall it was a great experience. Changing my initial online reservation was easy, done entirely through WhatsApp. We arrived on time and only waited about 10 minutes at the bar while our table was set up. The venue is as gorgeous as expected, sitting on the 40th floor with incredible views. Our first server was wonderful, but her shift ended partway through and we never saw her again. It would have helped to know who was taking over for her, since without that handoff we ended up waiting a bit for water and to place extra order throughout the meal. Not a huge deal given how busy the restaurant was, but worth mentioning for improvement. A special shout out to the receptionist, Lamia. She was lovely, warm and welcoming every time we crossed paths, always with a genuine smile. Small gestures like that leave a real impression. If I'm ever back in London, I'll definitely return to Duck & Waffle.”

“A good place for a one-time visit. Just be aware that a 15% service charge is added to the bill. The food is actually very good. We had the Duck & Waffle for breakfast, the duck was crispy, and the duck egg was delicious. It was my first time trying a duck egg, but it’s not very different from chicken, I wouldn’t pay for it the second time. The coffee was good too, although you can find better coffee elsewhere in London. The view is nice, but some of the best parts are blocked by surrounding buildings. The elevator ride is fun and adds to the overall experience. My only criticism is the interior. In my opinion, it could feel cozier and more refined. There are too many haphazard colors, which give the space a somewhat cheap, cafeteria-like feel, even though the restaurant itself is clearly more upscale. I think the interior design could be improved to better match the quality of the food and the overall experience.”

“Duck & Waffle is one of those places that truly lives up to the hype. The signature Duck & Waffle was exceptional—the waffle was perfectly crisp on the outside while staying light and fluffy inside, creating the perfect contrast in texture. The duck itself was incredibly tender, rich, and full of flavour, with the meat practically melting in every bite. Combined with the sauce and perfectly cooked egg, every element worked together beautifully. What makes the experience even more memorable is the breathtaking view. Sitting high above Central London, the panoramic skyline is absolutely magnificent, especially as the city lights begin to come on. Whether you're visiting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the combination of outstanding food and spectacular views makes Duck & Waffle a must-visit restaurant in London.”
