About Jak's
Jak's is a Mediterranean restaurant in London, set in a historic building at 533 King's Rd in Chelsea. The dining room follows a speakeasy style, with antiques throughout, and an exclusive whisky bar sits alongside it. The venue also hosts live musicians and dancing. The kitchen runs a pizza oven and serves a full breakfast and brunch, with French toast among the dishes. Cakes are on offer too, including Red Velvet Cake, and some can be taken away. Alcohol-free beers are available for guests who want something other than the whisky bar. A private dining room gives groups a space of their own. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the setting, a historic building filled with antiques and character that several describe as trendy, quirky, and eclectic. Food comes close behind. The pizza from the pizza oven is called delicious and a good size, and a full breakfast earns praise. At brunch one diner found the French toast safe, though the cinnamon was a great addition, and the same table worked through Red Velvet Cake, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Carrot Cake, taking more cake away. Staff are described as friendly, patient, and professional, and one birthday group received free shots. Great musicians on Fridays also draw praise, with diners eating, drinking, and dancing. The complaints are practical. One reviewer struggled to find the place and met steep steps going down, and another wants better airflow and lighting. One guest's most vivid memory is of the bartender running down the street to return a card holder left on the bar.

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We’re visiting London from Texas for the Houston Texans game at Wembley and stopped into Jak’s on King’s Road for brunch. What a great find! The atmosphere is fantastic, with so much charm and character. We especially loved learning about the history of the building and how far back it dates. It’s places like this that make visiting London so special. Great food, a wonderful setting, and a memorable experience. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip so far! Cheers from Texas! 🤘🏈”

“Dropped by for a beer midday on a Thursday. Great conversation with the bartender. When I forgot my card holder on the bar, he actually ran after me down the street to return it. Thank you very much, you saved my whole London trip!!! 5 stars!!! Ole G. - Norway”

“I came here on Sat and treated my bestie to a three course meal with a drink, except for trying to find it and for the steep steps going down which I didnt know about, everything was perfect! The waiteress was lovely and patient, she brought all our meals on time, our meals were delicious leaving us wanting more! The atmosphere was trendy and quirky, never been to a restuarant like this before. We will come back again 😊”
