About La Tagliata Italian Kitchen
La Tagliata Italian Kitchen is an Italian restaurant at 11 Sandy's Row in Spitalfields, London, where the kitchen works with Sardinian influences. The menu centres on fresh pasta, grilled meats and seafood. Customer Review Summary
Pasta is the draw most reviewers return to, described as perfectly cooked and high quality, with the porcini pasta, rigatoni with saffron and linguine with crab named. Close behind are the seafood dishes, especially a traditional Sardinian fregola with seafood called the highlight of one dinner, and a grilled swordfish praised for its seasoning. Others single out the beef tagliata, a prawn and aubergine parmigiana, a charcuterie and cheese board, and a creamy burrata. The tiramisu earns repeated mentions, while one reviewer notes most desserts lean toward coffee flavours. Diners describe the rooms as cosy, warm and quiet, with soft lighting, comfortable seats and space to talk. Service is called friendly, attentive and polite, and the staff are described as unhurried. Reviewers also mention helpful wine suggestions, including a Primitivo. The one caution is that prices run slightly higher than average, though that reviewer felt it was justified, and another found the drinks list so long they first mistook it for the food menu. One birthday lunch was made special when staff noticed the occasion.

“We visited this charming restaurant last night and immediately received a warm welcome from Theodor who personally looked after us all evening. The food, the service and ambience was delightful. The wine recommendation was also welcome with a lovely Primitivo suggested to accompany our meal. It’s a lovely restaurant and we look forward to visiting again soon!”

“Took my nephew here for a birthday lunch and really loved it. It’s a charming place that instantly makes you feel as though you’ve left London behind. The service was extremely attentive and polite, and the food was excellent. I had the porcini pasta, which was delicate, full of flavour and beautifully balanced — not the heavy, creamy mess this kind of dish can sometimes become. A huge thank you to the staff for noticing that it was a birthday and making the lunch feel special. The tiramisu is also really good, just as other reviewers have said. I really like this place and will definitely be going back.”

“Been here twice and both times were lovely and yummy. The service and ambience is stellar! The pastas are good and I tried the swordfish steak today which was equally delicious”
