About Satyrio- Italian Restaurant & Wine Merchants
Satyrio is an Italian restaurant and wine bar at 49 Aldgate High St in London, behind a front that looks like a wine shop. In spring and summer, a Secret Garden area opens for al fresco dining, which gives the restaurant a second place to eat when the weather allows. The owners and chef are Italian, and the menu includes pasta dishes such as gnocchi and a pistachio pesto pasta. The wine list is extensive, and the team serves wine by the glass or by the bottle, so diners can match a pour to their plate. The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays. Small to medium sized dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the authentic Italian cooking, naming a pistachio pesto pasta, light tomato gnocchi and an aubergine carpaccio starter, and one reviewer notes even the bread and butter were freshly made. The wine list comes close behind, described as extensive and delicious, with one reviewer mentioning a wine tasting event and another the staff's wine knowledge. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming, some speak Italian, and one waiter made a table feel like long missing friends. Several say the front looks like a wine shop and is easy to miss, while inside the place is small and warm, and the background music makes one reviewer feel relaxed. The one criticism comes from a reviewer who found the pasta dishes a little small. The tiramisu made at the table is called excellent.

“An unexpected diamond in the city center of London. If you are in front of the store you’ll never get in, but once you’re in it’s just amazing. Friendly people and delicious food. Really a place to recommend to all of your friends and family. Next time I’m in London, I’m coming back! The desert is so special. And also if you love a glass of nice wine. Just a place to be to discover love, friendship and very nice food! Love it! Thanks for the amazing night! 🙏🏻”

“Stunning food and wines were divine. Have been here many times and it never disappoints. A real hidden unique gem.....not what you expect from the outside. Wine knowledge is incomparable. It was quiet for a Saturday but Arsenal were playing in the European final!! Don't walk passed this place- it is a hidden emporium of wonder! We love you. Keep doing what you do.”

“An immersive wine and dine experience in the City. Satyrio offers a combination of hearty Italian food, a vast selection of fine wines and an exceptional service all in a relaxed atmosphere. Our dedicated team carefully selects the finest wine for our customers, offering a wide selection by the glass or bottle. Satyrio is a cozy and welcoming restaurant with limited seating. Even though we always try to accommodate all our walkins we highly recommend our guests to make a reservation online or give us a call. During spring and summer we open our Secret Garden area for al fresco dining. Our venue is dog friendly for small to medium sized pets.”
