Customer Review Summary
Pizza is the most frequent draw, with reviewers praising a base that is crisp outside and soft inside, the truffle oil pizza, a chicken and mushroom topping, and a calzone that arrived quickly. Close behind are the pasta dishes, notably a prawn linguine with garlic and dill and a pistachio cream linguine with king prawns, plus a gluten free pasta one diner rated among the best he had eaten. Desserts also get named: the tiramisu, the panna cotta, and a chocolate cake with a hint of orange. One reviewer found the panna cotta bitter from too many berries, and another found the pistachio lava cake very rich. Complaints centre on uneven plates. One diner counted a single prawn and three mussels in a seafood dish, another called the rocket and parmesan salad underwhelming and expensive, and a vegan diner described an undercooked penne main in a room that was incredibly hot. Service is described as friendly and attentive, and one reviewer suggests reserving because the restaurant is small. Even so, a party of five without a booking was accommodated.

“Thank you for this really great diner. My family and I were very happy that we found you and could ate homemade Italian food 🥳. And the Panna Cotta were very close by my own Panna Cotta 🤩, like my Children said. All the best for you.”

“The pizza was so good. I had the truffle oil one. I tried some of my friend's pasta too which was also really good. I started with the rocket and parmesan salad which was underwhelming and expensive. I then shared a trio of desserts with some friends. The tiramisu and panna cotta were really good but the panna cotta had too many berries in it which made it quite bitter. The pistachio lava cake was very rich and needs to be served with some ice cream or something in my opinion. I would happily return to this restaurant. 6 of us were there last night and we collectively spent just over £200 including the restaurant's 12.5% service charge.”

“The pizza was genuinely impressive. The base had that perfect balance crisp on the outside and soft inside, which tells you it was baked properly and not rushed. The sauce tasted fresh, not overly sweet, and the chicken + mushroom toppings were generous without turning the slice into a soggy mess. The cheese pull was exactly what you hope for when you lift a slice. The chilly sauce on top was the best if you like spicy. What stood out just as much was the service. The staff were attentive without hovering, quick to check in, and clearly knew their menu. The ambience was relaxed and comfortable, with warm lighting and enough space between tables to actually enjoy a conversation. It felt like a place you would return to, not just for the food, but for the overall experience.”

“Such a hidden gem in the middle of the city, tucked away in a cozy alley. The service was excellent and the food was authentically Italian, made with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend Linguine alla Cefalú - ‘pistachio’ cream pasta with king prawns that absolutely blew my mind.”

“Restaurant with nice atmosphere, but INCREDIBLY hot. There was a vegan starter of lentil soup, which was very tasty. The vegan main was a very uninteresting (and undercooked) penne pasta with tomato sauce and vegetables (not shown on the menu). Very poor offering, and definitely need to do better.”
