Customer Review Summary
Fresh pasta draws consistent praise, with the carbonara singled out repeatedly and the pea and creme fraiche tortellini called the best pasta one diner had in the UK. The arancini and tiramisu also win mentions. Service is mostly called attentive and friendly, though one reviewer found it lacking. One diner noted portions felt scarce, and several recommend booking since the space is small.

“Needed somewhere to go for a date and decided to pick here for the nicest of italian cuisines! the food was of a good standard and the prices were remarkable! however i do believe the portion size was a little bit scarce but im a greedy big boy so thats probably more of a personal thing. I'll deffo be coming back to try more of the menu as i said the prices were really good (especially in this economy)”

“Absolutely stunning food. Booked on a whim, as staying in the area. Unassuming frontage, friendly, but not the best service, but the food i next level. I enjoy private Italian restaurants, but this tasted like you where being in someone's home. All the pasta is fresh and the sauces are amazing. Can particularly recommend the pea pasta. Like tortellini stuffed with a pea and creme fraiche mouse, served with a burnt butter sauce. Truly the best pasta dish I have tasted in the UK. Tiramisu is not too shabby as well. Looking forward to our next meal. If you are near Brixton, book and enjoy.”

“A delicious meal every time we visit! Their Carbonara is to die for (authentic and so tasty every time). The service is also really good and the staff are always friendly and efficient. Do recommend if you fancy a nice bit of pasta! Be warned the restaurant is small so would reccommend booking before coming as it's popular!”

“We visited La Nonna in search of an Italian restaurant in Brixton that offers a pasta selection and found a lovely restaurant with exceptionally fast service and high quality pasta, we ordered the arrabbiata and the carbonara and they were …”

“Had such a lovely dinner at La Nonna Pasta Fresca. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and you can tell they take their pasta seriously. We started with the arancini, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy inside. The sauces alongside were great for dipping and added a nice flavour contrast. For the main, I had the pappardelle with slow-cooked ragu, which was absolutely delicious. The pasta tasted freshly made with the perfect texture, and the ragu was rich, comforting, and full of flavour. For dessert, we shared the pistachio cake with pistachio ice cream, which was the perfect way to finish the meal, beautifully balanced and not overly sweet. A special mention to Melina, our server, who was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Her service really stood out and made us feel well looked after. Would definitely come back again!”
