About Da corradi

Da corradi is a family-run Italian restaurant at 20-22 Shepherd Market in Mayfair, London, near Green Park. The dining space is small, and the family runs the restaurant themselves, which keeps the room at a scale for a handful of tables. Pasta anchors the menu, with carbonara, bolognese and linguine with prawns among the dishes ordered. The kitchen also prepares starters, and coffee is served for those who want to finish with a cup.

Customer Review Summary

Carbonara and bolognese come up most, with two diners enjoying both, one alongside the arrabbiata, and another praising a linguine with prawns special for its al dente pasta and slight kick. Close behind is the coffee, with the ristretto and affogato called outstanding and a breakfast Margarita pizza described as delicious. Others single out the risotto, the garlic mushrooms and a rich flourless almond chocolate cake. Service is described as kind, pleasant and thoughtful, and the place as cozy. The complaints are specific. One reviewer arrived to find chairs being brought in and was told the restaurant had closed early because it was quiet, despite the published closing time. Another found the pizza not great and the lunch very average. Calamari was overcooked for one diner, a second glass of wine came in a smaller glass, and the Benedict egg could have been runnier. One diner was brought complimentary bread for the garlic mushroom sauce.

“Absolutely loved the garlic mushrooms (Funghi all’Aglio)! So simple but incredibly delicious, full of flavour and cooked perfectly in garlic olive oil. They even kindly brought me some complimentary bread to enjoy with the sauce, which was such a lovely touch. Great food and thoughtful service.”

“First-time customer, and what a wonderful find! My partner and I stumbled across this restaurant over the Bank Holiday weekend and decided to give it a try on the off-chance. We’re glad we did. The setting was great, the food was excellent, and the customer service was brilliant. Overall, it was a genuinely authentic Italian dining experience in London. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it.”

“Best food we had on our visit from the US! Staff more attentive than any other restaurant and charming outdoor area! Portion size perfect and DELICIOUS”

“Very average - the steak wasn’t too bad… the pizza was unfortunately not great. I’ve heard the pasta dishes are better, but from this lunch experience it definitely overall was a 2/5.”

“Arrived at 10:28pm and the restaurant was already closed. Both managers were quickly bringing all the chairs inside, despite the published closing time saying otherwise. I drove all the way there for nothing. When I asked about it, one of them casually said, “Oh, we were quiet, so we closed early.” Is this really how an “Italian” restaurant in the heart of Mayfair is being run? Closing early without notice is unprofessional and shows a complete lack of respect for customers who make the effort to visit. The actual owners should keep a much closer eye on their business, because it is being poorly represented by people who clearly do not understand hospitality, customer service, or reputation management.”
