About Bar Remo 🇮🇹

Bar Remo is an Italian restaurant at 2 Princes St in London, run by the same family for 90 years. It is a small corner restaurant with a bar and a pizza oven, and pizza and pasta make up the core of the menu. Pasta dishes include gnocchi with pesto and tortellini in a tomato cream sauce. Customer Review Summary

Pasta is what diners name most, from the gnocchi with pesto, crunchy calamari and cherry tomatoes to tortellini in a tomato cream sauce and a Gamberoni pasta singled out as especially delicious. Pizza comes close behind, with one reviewer calling pasta and pizza both full of flavor and made with fresh ingredients, and another saying it feels like Rome in the heart of London. Starters also earn mentions, including the antipasto, fried mozzarella, caprese and boards, along with a pollo alla crema with tender chicken and a thick sauce. Reviewers repeatedly describe the staff as friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere as warm and welcoming. Prosecco and the carefully selected wines get praise too. Complaints are few and specific. One diner did not enjoy the Pavlova while others in the group liked the Tiramisu and Nutella doughnuts, the antipasto needed extra paid bread, and a party that booked for 11 found space for only 10 until an extra seat was added at the end of the table.

“Fantastic Authentic Italian Dining A wonderful meal from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, with high-quality ingredients and authentic Italian flavours throughout. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it feel like a genuine Italian restaurant rather than just another chain. The staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel really well looked after without being overbearing. If you’re looking for quality Italian food in the heart of London, this is definitely worth a visit. We’ll certainly be back!”

“The service was good, although we booked for 11 and there was only space for 10. An extra seat was added to the end. The food was fantastic for our group. I really enjoyed the antipasto, although had to pay more for some bread to go with it. For me the only let down, I didn't enjoy my Pavlova although everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their desserts (Titamisu and Nutella Dougnuts), so it was only me!”

“From the outside, this small corner Italian restaurant looks quite ordinary, but it ended up being the most memorable meal of my London trip. The Prosecco was silky and easy to drink, the starters were generous and packed with flavor, and the main course was a wonderful surprise. It didn't look particularly fancy, but the taste was outstanding—comforting, authentic, and expertly cooked. Sometimes the most extraordinary meals come from the most unassuming places. I'll definitely be back.”
