  “Just a quick review to say how truly wonderful this place is. The food was absolutely fantastic, I ordered a tiger prawn Chenaai (sorry if I botched the spelling in this) and the service was second to none. Our server Kritika was so kind and attentive that it made our entire evening. Highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you Silka and Kritika. We'll be back (regularly)”

  “We had a wonderful meal at Silka and would definitely recommend it. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly, attentive and very accommodating throughout our visit. A special thank you to Rimi and the whole team for making us feel so welcome and looking after us so well. The complimentary chocolate at the end of the meal was a lovely touch and absolutely delicious! If I had one small suggestion, it would be to have the homemade lemonades pre-chilled, as they would have been even more refreshing. The cocktails also weren't quite to my personal taste, but that's purely down to preference. Silka is a nice hidden gem near London Bridge.”

  “I'm writing this review while I'm still at the restaurant. The food is a solid 3 - not the best, not the worst. I was super hungry when I got here. They asked if we had a reservation (there were two of us), but we didn't. They were like, "We don't take people without reservations," and I thought it might be busy, but I pushed a bit since it was raining. They let us in, and the place was empty! It was a quarter past 1, and they close at 2:30 pm, so I figured we had plenty of time. But a waitress was on our case the whole time, pacing around. Then a group of 6 came in, so we were happy that someone joined. Overall, it was a weird experience for my mom and me. I get that it can be rushed when a restaurant is about to close, but a simple "Sorry, we'll be closing in an hour" could have gotten the message across, and people could choose. The ambiance was good, and the music was okay, but the waitress pacing made the atmosphere a bit unsettling.”

  “Amazing experience! Will definitely be visiting again. The pictures don’t do justice to the flavours and the taste! I had dinner at Silka and I highly recommend the chilli paneer, Tandoori selection, cheesy naan, garlic naan and your picks of their wide range of curries. Fantastic service - especially from Jahir. Amazing atmosphere and perfect location right at the sign for Borough Market, opposite London Bridge station. Elegant decor, perfect for dinner with family or as a date. Will definitely be coming again to try out different curries and get the tandoori selection again. The lamb chops, chicken and prawns were better than any restaurant I’ve had before.”

  “We've been ordering takeaway from here for years and finally visited the restaurant, which is in a cosy basement space. They have a great vegan selection and the menu is clearly labelled with allergens. Their spicy coconut chicken curry is delicious, and the naan bread stood out as it was perfectly fresh and fluffy, probably one of the best I've had.”
