About Pali Kitchen
Pali Kitchen is an Indian restaurant at 13 Bow Ln in London, built around kathi rolls wrapped in paratha, including an aubergine potato curry roll. The bread is made fresh, and the rolls are made with the kitchen's own slaw recipe. Rice bowls cover the other side of the menu, with the butter chicken rice bowl served alongside a choice of sauces. Chai sits on the drinks list, and the room has space for dining in. The menu mixes classic dishes with more inventive ones. The restaurant is open Monday to Friday, daytime only, and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints centre on value and authenticity. One reviewer found the Bombay chicken curry flavourful but the takeaway box under-filled, with staff reluctant on extras and a second request needed for barely any salad. Another calls the menu mostly salads and generic fusion, missing naan and roti. A third found a rice bowl mild when sauces were skipped. One reviewer notes feeling full early, possibly from the meat, even while calling portions generous.

“Occasionally, a sense of satiety is experienced prematurely when consuming their dishes, which may be attributable to a particular ingredient, potentially the meat, given that other components consistently appear fresh. The portion sizes are generous, the presentation is commendable, and the taste aligns with the standards of high-quality establishments. However, a specific element seems to induce a feeling of fullness even when only partially through a meal, a sentiment echoed by several individuals with whom I have discussed this matter.”

“Had the Bombay chicken curry with rice today, £12 with a drink. Flavour was okay, but portions let it down. The takeaway box was under-filled and the staff were reluctant with extras — had to ask twice for salad and got barely any. For the price, I expected a full box and a reasonable attitude to sides. Won’t be rushing back.”

“Pali Kitchen is massively overrated and far too expensive for what it offers. The portion sizes were poor, the value for money was bad, and the overall quality did not match the price at all. It advertises “real Indian flavors,” but that claim feels misleading because only a couple of dishes were genuinely Indian-style, while most of the menu seemed more like salads and generic fusion food. Calling wraps “Indian” does not make them authentic, and the menu was missing basic staples you would expect from an Indian restaurant, such as naan, garlic naan, roti, or rumali roti. Overall, it felt like a falsely labeled Indian restaurant with nothing special to justify the hype.”
