About The Coffee House
The Coffee House is a coffee shop in London on level -1 of RSA House, 8 John Adam St, reached by entering the building and asking at reception. Orders are placed at the counter, where the food runs from pastries and a tart of the day to salads and sandwiches, including a half-salad and half-sandwich combo. The coffee is All Press Community Blend, and the teas are from Good & Proper. Produce comes from London Larder, a selection of ethical, organic and local suppliers. The venue has several rooms, including larger ones that suit meetings and collaborative projects. Laptops are not allowed in the first room by the counter, while the other rooms are available for working. Victorian lemonade is among the cold drinks, and the building also houses a bar.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the food, and the sourdough sandwich leads: one calls it simple, few ingredients and so tasty, while others praise the half-salad and half-sandwich combo, with the salad the standout for that reviewer. The tart of the day, pastries and a Victorian lemonade also earn mentions, and coffee is called consistently good, from an Americano and flat white to a new caramel iced latte. Close behind is the setting inside the RSA, described as an oasis of calm on a quiet street, with a low key buzz and larger rooms for meetings and working, and reasonable prices for central London. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming. The main caveats are practical: the venue is hidden, and one reviewer says you need to find the right door, while laptops are not allowed in the first room by the counter. One visitor found it full, and another on a Friday found it quieter with easy table choice. One reviewer was given a bit of chocolate brownie alongside a flat white.

“Embedded in the RSA, the staff are courteous, attentive and deliver very nice drinks, mine was a flat white today and I was given a bit of chocolate brownie to accompany. The prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere as part of the RSA is great for a catch up with friends or colleagues and has a low key buzz. It was Friday, meaning the place was a bit quieter allowing for easy table selection. Thank you”

“The RSA Coffee House is a quiet space that's ideal for working, meeting, or simply taking a moment to think. The food is always fresh, sensibly priced - and the coffee is consistently good. The RSA describes the Coffee House as a place to "work, collaborate and meet like-minded people", continuing the tradition of the original coffee house where ideas and connections flourished. That has certainly been my experience. You will always meet interesting people here, and I've had introductions that have absolutely enriched my working life. In particular, I want to thank Susie, who has introduced me on more than one occasion to people who are making a real difference in the world. There are very few places where thoughtful conversation happens so naturally. The Coffee House truly lives up to its founding purpose: bringing people together through curiosity, conversation and great coffee. Alex Hinge, Artist FRSA”

“First time attending. Service was fast, and we easily found a table for our party of four. The tart of the day and sandwiches were great; special mention for the Victorian lemonade. LOVELY staff. Thank you, Khazi and Susie!”
