Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the matcha and coffee, with a strawberry matcha called the best one a diner had ever had and a limited bakewell iced matcha described as outstanding. Close behind are the flat whites, oat lattes and an iced decaf americano, plus pastries such as an almond croissant and a cinnamon scroll, both called delicious. Staff come up repeatedly as friendly and welcoming. One reviewer was handed a free coffee after a sold-out pulled pork and pickle sandwich meant a wait, then received a cake instead, and another was given an oat latte on the house after a friendly chat. The space gets praise too, with comfy seats, room between tables and seating upstairs and downstairs for working, and one reviewer notes laptops are permitted downstairs but not upstairs. Several also mention the shop's work helping released prisoners into employment, and one calls it dog friendly. No recurring complaints appear. Reviewers close on small gestures like the free cake and the shaken hand that came with a complimentary latte.

“Lovely shop with a great atmosphere and really friendly and welcoming staff. The coffee was a very pleasant surprise as well. Would definitely recommend. I also loved how they help released prisoners”

“This place does excellent coffee, really well made and high quality. the food looked amazing too although I didn't try it. They have space downstairs where laptops are permitted, but they aren't upstairs so it's a good balance. And most importantly, they have a really amazing mission in rehabilitation for former prisoners, so you feel you're doing a good thing while getting your morning coffee 👍”

“I would definitely recommend this place! I ordered a strawberry matcha and a sandwich and they were both amazing. The matcha was definitely the best one I’ve ever had. Even though I came at the busiest time, it was still calm and a relatively relaxing place! It is also dog friendly and has very nice decorations. The fact they support prison leavers into work is also amazing!”
