Customer Review Summary

Reviewers return most for the generous portions and consistently good food, with the roasted duck with fried rice, braised pork trotter, and Singapore noodles named as standouts. Close behind are the salt and pepper chips with curry sauce, which a visitor sought out as British style Chinese takeaway, plus the fried calamari, beef brisket noodles, meat-filled wontons, and xiaolongbao broth. Several describe the owner and the lady at the front as welcoming, and one says she seemed to know every customer who came in to order. Fast cooking and a KTV downstairs also come up. The main complaint concerns eat-in pricing. One reviewer says the menu is misleading because being asked "separate?" means ordering the main and rice as individual dishes, which carries a significant premium even when pointing at the combined deal, and notes no hint of a set service charge. Another mentions that the owners prefer cash but accept cards. One diner took leftovers home after a duck and fried rice dinner.

“Visiting from the US, I was looking for some British style Chinese takeaway and stumbled on this gem! They have such great salt and pepper chips and curry sauce. It seems like a neighborhood staple as the lady working the front seemed to know everyone who came in to order as I sat there and ate my dinner. The Singapore noodles were really good, a must try!”

“Absolutely delicious! The braised pork trotter was incredibly tender and fell right off the bone, packed with rich, savory flavor. The pork yan (meat-filled wontons) were silky, springy, and perfectly chewy. And taking a sip of the hot, flavorful broth from the xiaolongbao was pure happiness. The owner also cooks many authentic regional specialties, so there’s always something new to try. Definitely a place worth coming back to regularly to explore the ever-changing menu. Highly recommended!”

“Food is excellent, but the eat-in menu pricing can be misleading on account of the use of the word "separate?" (there is a combined charge for a dish+rice, and on being asked "separate?" they *don't* mean "do you just want those two parts on separate plates?, they mean "do you want the main and the rice as separately ordered dishes?", which attracts a significant premium, even if you had been pointing at the menu deal at the time), and the absence of any hint of a set service charge.”
