Customer Review Summary
The oyster pancake is the item reviewers return to most, described as delicious, large, and packed with oysters and pork. One regular who has tried almost everything on the menu calls it a favourite. Bao buns come close behind, with a beef bun described as delicious and hot in cold weather, and one reviewer calling the pork buns the best in London. A chicken pancake is also called flavourful, and one visitor says bao were a highlight after finding other Chinatown meals plain. The praise is not uniform. One diner found the duck bao very bland, another called the beef filling plain though the texture has bite rather than fluff, and one reports poor customer service, with attitude when they asked for tissues. It is a street food counter with no seating or toilets, and one reviewer describes a huge queue that moves quickly, while others report little to no wait and lovely staff. Reviewers note that new pancakes are constantly being fried, so each one arrives piping hot.

“I’ve been to two restaurants in Chinatown before and, from my experience, the food was honestly pretty overrated. It felt quite plain and we were disappointed. That was last year, so this year we decided to stick mostly to street food instead, and luckily this time we were not disappointed at all. These bao were incredible. Easily one of the highlights for us and exactly the kind of food we were hoping to find.”

“Best pork buns in the whole of London and such good value for money. Always worth getting home a little later to come and get one after work. Lovely staff too. Normally little to no wait as well! Super fresh and would have one every day if I could.”

“I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, but the oyster pancake is just so good, definitely my favorite!”

“It’s just really a street food place. No where to sit and no toilets. Huge queue.. but it goes quick. We ordered one duck boa bun and one oyster & pork pancake. The boa bun was not good at all.. very bland. I have had better. But the oyster & pork pancake was delicious hence why I gave it 3 star… otherwise it would have been a 1. Poor customer service.. I had to ask for tissues as it was not readily available on the table. Attitude was given when I asked.”
