About The Wheatsheaf
On Stoney St in London, The Wheatsheaf is a pub that faces Borough Market, with the market next door. A covered area called The Yard has a roof and overhead heaters, so it stays usable when the weather turns. The bar pours cask ale and a wider selection of beers and ales, along with Guinness and cocktails. In the kitchen, a pizza oven produces the pizza, and the menu also lists Sticky Wings and burgers to go with a pint. An upstairs seating area gives the pub a second space beyond the ground floor. Football is shown on TV.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly bar staff are what reviewers raise most, with several describing servers who suggested cocktail options, remembered regulars' names and preferred drinks, or took care over pouring a Guinness. The atmosphere comes next, described as relaxed, upbeat and buzzy, with music that isn't too loud and a view onto busy Borough Market. Reviewers also mention a good selection of beers and ales, cocktails, pizza from the oven, and Sichuan-flavoured sticky wings that turned out spicy rather than honey sticky. The covered Yard seating with overhead heaters and the TVs for football get a mention, and a few call the value good. The complaints are specific. One reviewer found the cask ale off, with a sour, tangy taste, and said the burger looked like something from McDonalds. Another says the pub packs out quickly midweek, making a seat hard to find and a quiet pint unlikely, and suggests it is best enjoyed with a group and a bit of patience.

“I've been to this place before but Paris has made the whole experience a lot better. It was a joy to see her smile welcoming me and her positive attitude in wanting to give me the best Guinness I ever had. What a vibe! Thanks Paris, you're the best! 😁”

“I love this pub and its atmosphere. I should add that the excellence in customer service of Camile is top tier. She takes great care to remember names, histories and preferred drinks of her customers which adds to the welcoming feel of the place. Thia level of customer service in London is hard to find these days .”

“A few days ago, I went to the pub looking for a cocktail. I was really impressed by the quality of service provided by Sarah; it was genuinely excellent, with a level of attention to detail that often goes unnoticed elsewhere. I wasn’t sure what to order, so she suggested several options and recommended some of the most popular choices. I’ll definitely be back; the atmosphere is very relaxed, and the music isn’t too loud.”

“A stone's throw away from London Bridge in the heart of London's most popular foodie market you'll come across the hidden party under the bridge. Don't second guess it, this is Borough Market's top pub offering the finest cask conditioned real ales, craft and draught beers. If that doesn't tickle your taste buds then ask one of the bubbly team to stir you away with a delicious negroni, classic G&T, or a glass of fizz.”
