Quick info
About Bunch of Grapes
Bunch of Grapes is a pub in London on St Thomas St, pouring cask ales and craft beers alongside a food menu. The rear courtyard has a retractable canopy over some of its tables, and smoking is allowed in that area, so smokers can stay with their group. Dogs are welcome. On the menu, the Sunday roast comes with beef or chicken, and a Vegan Wellington roast sits next to them. Alcohol-free Guinness is also available for anyone skipping alcohol. Orders are placed at the bar, and payment is taken in advance. Rugby matches are shown here.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roasts draw the most praise, with reviewers describing tender chicken, a beef roast, crisp roasties and a vegan Wellington that one diner found better than imagined. Close behind are a beef rib burger with fries, chicken schnitzel, fish and chips, a pie, tacos, and apple and leek sausage rolls with a beer mustard that one reviewer said added a special flavour. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, food is described as coming out quickly, and a few mention a lively mood on rugby days and a rear courtyard with some shade and a retractable canopy. The pints split opinion. One reviewer calls the Guinness the best in London, while another calls it among the worst they have had, describes the beer selection as commercial and says a partner's lager was flat. Others note portions so large they could finish only half, with no takeaway boxes available, one found the burger pricey, and one felt the bar staff looked unhappy. One diner was asked whether they were vegan or vegetarian so they could still be given a yorkshire pudding.

“Visited on a Monday at 5pm, so maybe different experience to a Thursday or weekend night, but... Thoroughly enjoyable pub on a quiet night. Good choice of lagers, alcohol and zero, plus some good whiskeys. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tables were cleared promptly and we almost never had to wait to be served. Had a great table in the rear courtyard which has some tables in shade and some in sun, and a retractable canopy over some of them too. Smoking is allowed outside in this area, and although it didn't bother us at all, and few smokers there anyway, it's something to be aware of if you hate smoke. Food was good. A nice burger and fries, not greaay and bacon while not overly crispy didn't suffer despite that. Only reason it was 4 not 5 stars is because it's pricey at £18! Overall, a good venue in a great location of getting home from London Bridge! Would recommend.”

“We decided to have a spot of lunch here, while returning to London Bridge. The pub is small and quaint but the team are really friendly. Downstairs was busy, so we sat upstairs. On entering we were greeted by our server Rhys, who was very friendly and attentive. He seated us and gave us a few minutes to decide what we wanted to eat before we ordered. Our food came out quickly, we ordered 1 vegan Wellington roast, 1 fish and chips and a beef rib burger. The food was exceptional (they even checked if i was vegan or vegetarian, so i could have a yorkshire pudding!! No-one has ever done that before!). Our chef was called Ben and he had done himself proud with the meals.. the Vegan Wellington was better than i could imagine, and the roasties, well i could have just eaten a plateful of those!! We come to London Bridge regularly, but i am ashamed to say i didn't even know The Bunch of Grapes was there! But know i know we will be back!! Thank you for a great experience Bunch of Grapes!”
