Quick info
About Flat Iron Square
Flat Iron Square is a bar and sports venue at 45 Southwark St in London, set mostly outdoors in the style of a beer garden. Screens run throughout the venue, and one large screen in the bar area shows live sport such as World Cup matches. Drinks are served from a separate bar area, so the food and the football stay in separate spots. Several food stalls operate on site, including Lebanese and pizza options, and food can be ordered at the stalls outside or through a QR code. Entry or table reservations for big sporting events are ticketed, and each comes with drinks vouchers or a free drink on arrival.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints are specific. One group says security yelled at them to leave right after a match ended while they were finishing freshly bought beers. A Champions League visitor docked a star for too few toilets for the crowd, and another notes it closes fairly early. One diner's chicken tenders arrived as ten thin, fatty pieces rather than the three pictured, and heartburn led them to leave most of it uneaten.

“Really nice bar with several food stalls, so you can grab something to eat while you’re there. There’s a good variety of options, including Lebanese specialties, pizza, and more. The venue is very spacious, with plenty of seating available. I went during the World Cup, and there were screens everywhere showing the matches, including one huge giant screen. The only downside is that it closes fairly early.”

“Great food and amazing service! Customer service was above and beyond, would definitely return. Popcorn for the win 👌 Nothing like a mini personal meat cleaver 🪓🪓🪓”

“Watched 2 of the Brazil 2026 world cup games here incredible atmosphere. Drinks and food were delivered/ready quickly considering the crowd. Mostly outside so really nice to sit out. £10 per person to reserve a table but definitely worth it! You get drinks vouchers to user on a few different drinks”

“I went with a couple of friends to watch Brazil X Norway in the World Cup. We queued and paid £10 to get inside. Everything was fine until the end of the match. As soon as the match ended, security came to tell we had to leave (which we were already aware as we were informed upon arrival). We told them we had just bought some beers so we would finish, go to the toilet and leave. Security was then extremely rude and impolite. They started to yell saying we had to leave immediately, which was a bit scared and I felt very disrespected. We explained we had just got beers and would leave in a minute (we had already lost the match, what was the point in staying?) and they kept yelling saying they would call security. I still don’t understand the harassment as the next match would only start in about 3 hours. If you are planning to go to Flat Iron Square, just be prepared to be treated with extremely lack of respect.”

“Flat Iron Square is a splendid spot for after-work pints and a natter. The atmosphere is lively without being rowdy, and the staff keep things ticking along nicely. Ideal for a casual catch-up or a relaxed Friday unwind.”
