About The Three Johns
The Three Johns is a bar on White Lion St in Islington, London, open daily. Its meeting rooms hosted sessions of the 1903 Russian Social Democratic Labour Party Congress involving Lenin and Trotsky, so a beer or a slice here comes with a piece of that history. Inside, high ceilings rise over wood panelling and exposed brick. The craft beers on tap rotate, and Guinness is poured at the bar. Pizzas are built on a Napoli base, with the Four Cheese among them, and a lunch offer includes a pizza. The bar also hosts private events.

Customer Review Summary
Pizza draws the most praise, from a Napoli base one reviewer calls a standout with loads of flavour to a Four Cheese that one diner's daughter called the best she had ever had. Close behind are the beers, with a great range on tap and a cracking Guinness, and the staff, whom reviewers repeatedly describe as friendly and attentive. One says the bar team made them feel like a regular, another credits a bartender with excellent drink recommendations, and a third praises the music. A reviewer who hosted a serious, emotional event says the staff catered for every need. Others describe a relaxed local pub with a brilliant atmosphere that was busy but still spacious, and one points to the 1903 Russian Social Democratic Labour Party congress held in its meeting rooms. Complaints are small. One reviewer found it a bit pricey, and another noted there was no mayonnaise, with the only sauce on offer costing extra. A slight hiccup with one order was quickly resolved.

“We visited yesterday evening around 8pm. Both members of staff were friendly and very attentive. After a slight hiccup with the order which was quickly resolved, we were blown away with the food and service. My daughter said the Four Cheese pizza was the best she ever had. Again, I can't compliment the staff enough.”

“Lovely pub, great atmosphere. While other pubs were packed and sardines, this place was busy but had plenty of space and the same vibe. Ruby behind the bar was also brilliant, really great service and with smile. Will defo come back when I’m in the area”

“An absolutely incredible pub with a brilliant atmosphere and a welcoming community from the moment you walk in. A special mention has to go to Tom, who was incredibly friendly and gave excellent drink recommendations based on his expertise. His service made the experience stand out and is one of the key reasons people keep coming back. If you’re based in or around the area, I would highly recommend checking it out.”

“After the longest and worst Monday ever, I happened upon the Three Johns and my god am I happy I did! The moment I walked in the door, I was greeted by this amazing northern Irish legend I think was called Bex and she was just sooooo attentive and made me feel like I have been to the pub a thousand times and was a regular. the other fella, Tom, was a legend too and poured me a cracking Guinness. the pizza was quality too and they DID NOT MISS ON THE TUNES ONCE - on another note the two of them didn't stop moving the whole time and they were banging!!!! Lo and behold my Monday went from 0-100000 all because I walked into the the Three Johns and I canny wait to get myself back here!”

“Had a great time here last night. Our server Tom was amazing. He was so attentive, kind and helpful. The pizza was great although they didn’t have mayonnaise… the only sauce the had cost an extra £2… other than that we had a great time and were very impressed by the service”

“Sizeable, dark wood-panelled bar with exposed brick, for craft beers on tap and sourdough pizzas. A great range of rotational craft beers and award-winning pizzas in the heart of Islington. Swing by the Three Johns for a beer and a slice, look through our menus to see what else we can offer you.”
