  “I went around 8 pm and ordered the chicken wings, mac and cheese, onion rings, a beer, and a cider. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made the atmosphere even better. The chicken wings were especially delicious. Now I completely understand why this place is so popular!”

  “A really cool pub with great service. The owner is lovely—she makes you feel like part of the family. And the bartenders? Let's just say that if you were planning to go see *Magic Mike*, don't bother; just go to this pub instead, and you'll thank me. P.S. Don't forget to order a Guinness.”

  “Long corner pub behind decoratively glazed panels & many ways into a cool, spacious pub with a long bar & modern, Green King centric selection. A stately back bar with etched mirror complements wood pannelled walls, cut through wood partitions & a wide panel top cove under the pattern led papered ceiling & a variety of decorative glazed lamps. Curved, button padded banquets, low & high seating provide a variety of seating from barrell to bench. Modern art, soft tunes & discreet sport screen entertain a British Museum tourism crowd in & out on street seats of a pub that provides clean British bar heritage.”

  “Lunchtime menus says food with a drink. I paid for the deal and ordered another non alcoholic drink not in the deal. Paid deal price and for the non alcoholic drink. Not in the deal…yet they refused to give me the drink that comes in the deal because the waiter didn’t ring it up. I won’t be back! And £5.95 for or age and lemonade…not even in a pint.”

  “We visited after a morning at the British Museum, with 3 kids in tow. The staff were very accommodating and friendly for our party of 6, including the children. Great fish & chips, and an awesome lunch special! Service was quick and food was tasty! My husband also loved their IPA beer selection. Very convenient location with some outdoor seating as well.”

  “Loved the atmosphere. Joanna was our server and was excellent. Ordered Chicken ciabatta and chips. Stairs to the WC are a bit of a challenge, hold on to the rail. They have patio seating. Overall, a lovely time.”

  “If you could eat the environment this would be 5 stars but you can’t. The outside is absolutely delightful as if a gorgeous greeting card. Inside is a great looking old pub with beautiful fixtures & windows, etc. All the type one would love to find in antique shops. We found this pub as the best for Sunday roast,..errr I’m not certain whose standards but it did look promising. Selecting the 1/2 roasted chicken in lieu of beef was a good choice as it was delicious. The roasted veggie sides were ok & cold after 2 mins. The cauliflower was held together with a white sauce that could have been used for glue. Service was functional but not friendly or welcoming. This was surprising after dining over a week in London from pubs to restaurants & getting assistance in the Underground. Very friendly everywhere else. We’re all overworked & underpaid but that’s what the service industry is all about. Cheer up please & smile. Thank you. Handicap access but not for wheelchair as door is too small. One step up. Restrooms upstairs.”

  “This pub is very nice. A traditional English pub that let you feeling comfortable and relaxed just for a beer or dinner too. Is not too big but i truly recommend a step inside…i found a table while outside was raining at late afternoon, so i think a reservation not a must”

  “The Sticky Toffee Pudding is really special…OUT OF THIS WORLD. One of the best desserts I have ever had in my life good…not exaggerating. The Steak and Ale was so tasty. The pot pie crust was really delish and gave me nostalgia. Taste like a pot pie from childhood complete with burn the roof your mouth and tongue glory. the gravy on the side is really tasty…not too salty or bland…perfect. 10 out 10. Will be back.”

  “Good pub near the British Museum The macaroni and cheese, accompanied by a variety of salads and a pint of Abbot, was a good choice. In terms of service, there is room for improvement. They only serve you at the bar and charge you before serving you. However, we were initially seated at a smaller table, but they kindly moved us to a larger one when the opportunity arose. The place is very nice and cosy, close to the museum, and you can sit on the terrace.”
