Karaoke Box Soho
Quick info
About Karaoke Box Soho
At 18 Frith St in London, Karaoke Box Soho is a karaoke bar built around private rooms booked by the hour. Each room has its own controls for the volume of the music and the microphones, so a group sets the sound for its own session. Songs are chosen on a touchscreen in the room, and the song list is in English. Reservations are required, and a booked session can be extended by an hour. A bar at reception serves cocktails and other drinks, so a round can be ordered around the time in the room.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, with the bar team and the front-of-house crew described as friendly, welcoming and accommodating. One reviewer says a booking confusion was sorted out for a birthday, and another calls the bar team's chat and the cocktails a highlight of a work social. Several return for the private karaoke rooms, and one finds the sound system clear. The caveat is the equipment. Reviewers describe outdated, low resolution karaoke software, a song screen that is hard to tap, a limited song list, worn couches, a sticky floor, mics that cut out, and feedback in one room that staff fixed by moving the group to another. One notes other singers can be heard through the walls. One reviewer reports a room confirmed by phone was given away while the group waited outside, and found the staff and security dismissive. Walk-ins got a room for about an hour, and one visitor questioned the hourly cost.

“Visited Karaoke Box with my friends and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. We called ahead beforehand to make sure there was a room available, and when we arrived we were told our room would be ready in 10 minutes. While we were waiting outside, they ended up giving the room away to other people instead. What made the situation worse was the attitude from the staff and security. None of them were particularly friendly, despite clearly seeing us waiting. The overall customer service felt rude and dismissive. wouldn't recommend.”

“The location is very good, and the staff was excellent, she was very helpful and friendly. But inside our cell the couch was worn out and the floor was very sticky. There was not many options for songs, as well the screen was very hard to tap. And you can hear other people singing clearly inside your own cell.”

“The service at this place was phenomenal today. We had a confusion with our booking and they were just the nicest, most accommodating people EVER. I would give 6/5 stars if I could. Thanks for not making my birthday a total fail. You’re awesome!”

“We were here last week with some friends from work for a social, and this was our second visit to Karaoke Box Soho. It's such a great place to go not only was the karaoke a highlight, but the cocktails and drinks were absolutely amazing What really made the night extra special, though, was the barteam. We honestly had so much fun at the bar, chatting and sharing stories with them it felt super welcoming and relaxed. We had a proper laugh all night. A big thank you to Giani and Shaq for their amazing hospitality. You guys really made the experience unforgettable. We'll definitely be back.”
