About Shakespeare's Head
Shakespeare's Head is a pub in London on Africa House, housed behind a columned facade with large windows. The Good Beer Guide from CAMRA lists the pub, and the bar stocks a wide selection of beers and real ales for anyone choosing a pint by style. A breakfast menu pairs a full English with Lavazza coffee, and chips are also on the menu. The pub is large, with plenty of seating, and it runs on a walk-in basis. Orders go through a QR code at the table or at the bar.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come mainly for the drinks, praising a wide choice of beers, spirits and real ales, including a March beer festival and a pint of proper size. Close behind is value, with several calling the pub affordable or reasonably priced. Staff are described as friendly, polite and helpful, and service as quick. The pub is massive with plenty of seating, and one reviewer calls it always busy and full of happy people. Breakfast earns praise too, from a large full English to scrambled egg and bacon on toast with good Lavazza coffee, though one reviewer says it is nothing to write home about. Another enjoyed the chips as delicious. Food draws the sharpest criticism. One diner found random dishes basic, with average taste and presentation, and said the pizza and chicken shawarma arrived way too spicy, while still rating the beer as great. One reviewer notes that the World Cup big screen projection is a smidge blurry but does the job.

“Just love Weatherspoons! It was a real treat to visit after over 16years. Sounds silly but living in Europe, I hate the chip cut. These were delicious and so tasty. The food is always great and I've never been disappointed.”

“It was hot so popped into this bar for a nice ice cold drink. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. I had a lovely fruity alcohol free drink before heading on my journey. It was quite full, but service was quick, with families and groups out for a drink or food. Seems like a nice place to visit. The toilets were also clean and tidy.”

“This pub has been here forever! Standard Wetherspoons offerings. Decent range of beers etc. You can watch the World Cup here, they have a big screen projection. It’s a smidge blurry but does the job. Pub can get crowded but it’s pretty big.”

“Solid, affordable breakfast menu with good lavazza coffee. Order from qr code at the table or go place order at the bar. Food came out fairly quickly. Nothing to write home about, but definitely a good place for breakfast.”

“This is my first ever JD Wetherspoon & it left a pretty good impression. So good that for the rest of my trip I only ate JD Wetherspoon. So freaking worth every single penny i paid, so affordable & so good 😻. Also love the fact that every restaurant is a different theme according to the building’s past.”
