About The Lord Tredegar
On Lichfield Rd in London, The Lord Tredegar is a pub with a wooden bar at the front and beer on tap. The building has an older section and an open plan area, and guests order at the bar up front, then sit wherever they like in the back. The kitchen serves British food, including roast dinners with a half portion available, plus sausage and mash and pan fried sea bass. Tables can be booked for the roast, and some are seated in armchairs. Beyoncé the pub cat has her own cushion inside, and a fire is lit in the back beer garden in winter.

Customer Review Summary
Roast dinners are the draw most reviewers raise, described as massive, excellent and not lacking on quality, with a half portion called great value. One diner found the roast beef tough and rubbery, and another said the roast chicken and pork were good but not the best they had had. Close behind come the pan fried sea bass, nicely cooked with very tasty mash, plus sausage and mash, braised pork belly, sticky toffee pudding and a vegan fish and chips of tofu wrapped in seaweed, where the chips outshone the fish. Service splits. One reviewer praises a server who works incredibly hard, while others describe bartenders slow to take an order. One visit involved unanswered reservation attempts and a waiter refusing to swap a dish. The beer selection is called well priced, and reviewers like the huge beer garden, the fire lit in winter, and a resident cat posing on her cushion. One group moved outside for dessert.

“While we only stopped in for a pint on our way to London Stadium, the environment here had us wishing we could have stayed longer. The service, drink choices and ambiance were all top notch. You definitely got the cozy neighborhood pub. I would definitely stop back here for drinks and food during our next visit to the area.”

“Been here multiple times and keep coming back. Massive roast dinners that don’t lack on quality. Inside is a really nice blend of old quaint pub and then an open plan area. Can’t wait till the next roast!”

“Visited on a Saturday. A nice quaint pub, loads of areas to sit and a nice garden. We tried the following food: - vegan fish and chips (quite tasty, and interesting idea to wrap tofu in seaweed and deep fry), the taste was nothing special but the chips were very tasty - sea bass was nicely cooked, mash was very tasty 😋 - caprese salad, as you'd expect”

“We went for a roast but please avoid and don't bother ordering the beef. It's the worse beef roast I have ever had in my life. They seem to cook them slice by slice. Meaning it's like eating a bit of a tyre than anything remotely edible. At least if it had flavour I could pretend it was a beef jerky. On top of that the service is awful. The bar staff don't seem to want to be there at all and we felt very unwelcome when we arrived to look for a non reserved table. Not that anyone answered when we tried to reserve. You basically won't be seated by anyone in the restaurant area. The 2 serving at the back didn't even look at us. Luckily we found a lovely table in the beer garden. If not for the staff the place would have been far better. When one of them accidentally sprayed cleaning spray on my food they were happy to change it but when I asked the other waiter if I could change the meet and go for another option (even though it was cheaper) he snapped a NO! at me. He also made fun of me when I was upset asking why I looked like I was going to cry. Well if you had waited so long for rubbery meet that you can't change after it got sprayed with cleaning detergent when you're starving then let's see how you'd feel!! We all love our food and you're definitely no exception Mr. 😉”
