About One Under Lime
One Under Lime is a cafe bar in London, set in the basement of the Lloyd's building at 1 Leadenhall Pl, directly beneath the Lloyd's of London tower and near Leadenhall Market. It opens only Tuesday to Thursday and stays closed the rest of the week. Coffee comes from Redemption Roasters, with seating inside for a daytime stop. On the drinks side, the bar pours glasses of bubbles alongside a wine list, and sharing platters cover the food. In summer, a BBQ is served on the terrace.

Customer Review Summary
The summer terrace and its BBQ draw the most praise, along with a young, fun vibe beneath the Lloyd's building. Close behind are a wine list one reviewer rates better than most in London, a sharing platter with glasses of bubbles, and drinks one says are made with passion. Some find staff pleasant and smiling. The complaints carry real weight, though. One reviewer reports being told to leave for eating their own snacks outside and alleges the staff targeted one group of people. Another says a waiter refused to serve two families with children. A few found the steak small and the tables cheaply built, and one called the coffee bad. One reviewer suggests holding business meetings before 5PM, since the place floods with people later. Several mention how busy it gets, and one describes the drinks queue snaking through the bar and out along the building.

“Really rude staff. I work just above this building and brought over some of our colleagues who were on a work trip to London. Whilst waiting for me and eating their own snacks at the outdoor seating area the staff came in with a really rude attitude saying “excuse me? Hello all good? Can I help…. Please leave” in a very condescending behaviour… instead of just saying “apologies outside food is not allowed” the irony is that I’ve sat here plenty of times with my own food even if I wasn’t a patron to this place, in fact that day there were people who also had their own food but were never once approached by the staff. I didn’t really want to get into the realms of racial bias but to me it sounded like the staff there was particularly targeting one group of people by speaking in such a condescending manner and code switching with others. If the leadership team here took time to read the review (which will be a surprise in itself), I seriously hope you consider an internal investigation…”

“Popped in for a couple with an old friend, good place to chill and have a catch up”

“The bar staff is so incredibly slow that it's insane. The queue for drinks snaked through the bar and way outside along the building. Never seen anything like it.”
- Lawrence Kay
“Good location, bad coffee. It's surprising that Redemption Roasters, one of the best chains in town, would have their name on the door. Comfortable seating inside, tables with heaters outside.”
